The singer who seemed out of place was in fact Rebecca Sugar! The creator of steven universe, who also wrote most of the steven universe songs. Matt Braly, the creator of amphibia, also worked as a storyboard artist for steven universe before amphibia, and had her create/sing a few of the amphibia songs. Which was a great choice by him, as her voice is absolutely magical and i adore the christmas song in this episode. Since this special aired many years after steven universe ended, it was a very joyous reunion for steven universe fans with Rebecca Sugar's wonderful songs that shaped so much of steven universe
