I'm pretty sure this Movie/special was made during GT's run, so it's a bit newer than the rest of DBZ, but still 15ish years old. Scratch that, looked into it, This special is actually from 2011, While GT late 90's so it's even 20 years newer than GT, still has a similar animation quality to it that GT does imo. More random tid bits, the VA doing the Kermit the frog voice is one of two people, they kinda switched back and forth, Either KaiserNeko (The main Editor for the series, as well as the voice of Trunks), and Lanipator (The voice of Vegeta/Krillen/ect)

2023-05-20 19:42:55 +0000 UTCSo, no the Sayinas were not originally goop guys, TFS just decided to call them Saiyans. But planet Vegeta has been originally inhabited by another race, Plantians? Fruitians? Something like that. Anyhow Sayians wiped them out and became the new dominant species of the planet. And this special, would make the legendary super Saiyan to be Bardock, which surprisingly, doesn't really conflict with anything, well outside of Bardock casually being set back in time. But other than that, yeah technically everything in here fits. We know absolutely nothing about the legendary super saiyan other than the fact he existed, conquered a few planets and is told to have destroyed himself in his super sayian rage

2023-05-20 19:01:46 +0000 UTCThe original Bardock movie came out on 1990, while this Episode of Bardock came out in 2011. There a 20 year gap in animation, so that's why this looks soooo much better. And keep in mind Dragon Ball Z proper ended in 1996 🤯
