couldn’t have said it any better myself! there definitely seems to be a bias, but it is their opinion and they’re completely entitled to it, especially since rise isn’t by any means perfect, and people look for specific things in different stories across different media. wanting the silliness to be completely erased though is kinda ridiculous when you consider that the tmnt franchise has never really been.. that serious? yeah, it has dark moments and intense storylines, but even looking back at the mirage comics, the turtles had the tendency to be silly in that iteration too? i think silliness and zany antics are at the heart of the tmnt franchise, and it’s definitely weird when people complain when it presents itself. don’t get me wrong, it’s intense in rise, but it’s nothing new to the franchise, especially when you look back at the 80s series 😭

It’s so weird to me that people complain about episodes lacking plot and being random. It’s a cartoon for kids. You don’t complain at all about adventure time and it’s wild. No one does. And it’s not like the two shows do it any differently. I can understand wanting it to have a little more story and plot, but honestly when I hear people complain it just sounds like they want the silliness and random episodes gone completely and I think that’s stupid

I mean the finale was just showing all the stuff they've done until now but all at the same time. Their skills just like the story have been shown in the earlier episodes but they're the main focus here.

WE BE WE!! Yeah they’re going to be silly 🤣 that’s who they are! But Rise is hilarious, probably one of the funniest shows I’ve watched so I love it, also the animation is ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE. You can tell they were really inspired by studio Trigger and expressive anime sakuga. I seriously can’t wait till you get to Lair Games it’s so fun!
