Steven universe and summer camp island are some of my fav shows but when amphibia came there was no chance for them. Having my two favourite voice actors was insane. Keith David the goat and then Charlyne Yi who you might recognise from Steven universe as ruby. I love her so much. And I can always recognise their voices. Also having Kristen and whoopi was amazing casting as well

I cried like a baby when amphibia’s finale premiered and i cried again watching this reaction. such a good series 🐐

To me and others, this show is worthy of the holy trinity of shows: (Gravity Falls, Owl House, Amphibia) Amphibia was top notch from start to finish. That goodbye scene always gets me no matter how many times I see it. I wish Amphibia got the DVD treatment so i can own it for generations to come. Happy to have seen your guy's journey watching it alongside us.

2023-04-19 19:59:08 +0000 UTCIt’s crazy how when gravity falls first ended and they announced that two other shows were being made by the people who worked on gravity falls and in the end both turned out to be amazing shows that imo reached the quality of the og series. I kinda treated them all together like the Disney Animated show trifecta, all different shows with unique characters and premises but in one way or another is connected to each other. It’s just insane how each of them finally reached a satisfactory end

2023-04-19 18:56:08 +0000 UTCMatt Braly put a lot of his own experience into his vision for Amphibia, since he was forced to move away as Marcy did, adjusting to life in LA and being forced to “let go” of his prior connections. Which is why I idolize Matt’s ability to draw us in and deliver impactful moments for such a seemingly harmless kids show that might have had more breathing room if not for being a Disney show. Ultimately though it achieved its tone. Avatar TLA is more obviously excellent and mature overall, but Amphibia has something over even the biggest titan of animated shows: contrast. And I’m not talking about a one or even three episode contrast, the contrasts are built up for half a season. You might be saying now wait a minute, gravity falls, star vs, owl house and Steven universe do that too. Yes those are all amazing shows. But the depth of contrast, rather than it’s girth, comes from both ends of the spectrum. The consequences were given weight because so much of our investment was pure, then expanded into maturity. It was like watching a sapling bloom into beauty and THEN watching it bend and break to our remorse. Avatar starts in its adolescence by contrast. Dirt peasants and entitled teenagers all the way to super Saiyan powers and death. Character growth baby. Things matter more to us in the long term the longer we know them, that’s how friends, family, and obsessions are all connected. It’s why nostalgia is so profitable. And the obsession that connects the most with me and makes me love Amphibia: it’s that feeling of never wanting to be apart from the only friends I ever had, or never wanting to say farewell in the face of death. It’s why Amphibias ending hits so hard. As I’ve said before: nothing will fill the void it left behind, because nothing is supposed to. That’s how I felt anyway XD. Wakfu made me feel similarly, btw. If y’all are looking for a new ‘tree’ to nurture. It hasn’t ended as of yet, with season 4 coming out soon, but my god does it have CONTRAST. Yes I know She-ra is second place on the pole behind TAWOG, just thought I’d stare my case and promote this very underrated show.

There are SO many little things throughout this episode, like the foreshadowing of Anne meeting the Deity ever since the Earth episodes, the foreshadowing of the moon falling, as well as the similarities between Anne and Andrias and them saying the exact quote (the one where they say "standing up to you") and GAH I love Amphibia lol. This truly was the hardest thing. 🥹 I still have a hard time saying goodbye to Amphibia, and I always cry whenever I watch the last two episodes, even though I've watched this several times. And tbh, I love Amphibia more than TOH, but both endings were perfect for me. I can't tell which of the final battles I loved more, I think they're both equally good and fitting for their shows. It's also funny how the dark and morbid magic owl show got a happy ending while the funny fun wholesome (and then dark) frog show got a bittersweet ending. I started watching your reactions with TOH first around...September of last year? Man, it's been a while. I think I'll rewatch your Amphibia reactions again I already miss it lol. Byeeee!

2023-04-19 18:24:12 +0000 UTCStarted watching you guys group reactions at the halfway point of Gravity Falls season 2 (Ruff was watching him prior) stuck around since was hype for Owl House DuckTales and Amphibia when you all started those also now all that is left is DuckTales from the Disney shows you started post GF and can't wait to see your reaction to that shows end Amphibia has such a magical ending the show is so well done happy you all loved it as much as you did by the end of it, you guys def need to do a podcast episode for one final send off to GF Owl House and Amphibia at some point (also you guys need to do a Theme Song Takeover reaction there are like 2 for DuckTales and 3 like for Amphibia, and they are really worth the watch)
