Watching Peridot pick up music from Steven is so fascinating. Usually I would dismiss something like that as overly convinient for the sake of a musical number, but there's actual quite a few little moments in the show that make me think gems have naturally perfect pitch. (Including Steven, Greg mentions how quickly he learned the ukelele.)

2023-06-25 16:54:25 +0000 UTCThe Crystal Gems weren't blindly following what Rose Quartz believed, at this point it has been explicitly spelled out that they all had their individual reasons for joining the rebellion. Also equating wanting to commit omnicide to wanting to prevent it so you can link it to "extremist liberals nowadays"...doesn't really make much sense either.

2023-06-07 15:12:51 +0000 UTCY'know..... The thing about the episode "It could've been Great" is that Peridot has a very pragmatic personality so she was most likely telling facts about the earth colony and the rebellion.... And yes, it is true that at that time she was just blindly following the teachings of the Diamonds, but the Crystal Gems are also just blindly following what Rose Quartz believed. Not only that... but here the Crystal Gems not only are blindly following a single gem's believe.... They are also acting childish and extreme, Peridot was just stating her personal opinion on the colony... In her current state she wasn't an threat to them at all.... But despite that Garnet still lashed out at her, threatened to hurt her, and destroyed a machine full of useful information. If it wasn't for Steven Garnet would've poofed Peridot right there and then... They acted like the extremist liberals of nowadays in real life... Preaching about tolerance and understanding but attacking anyone who doesn't align with their beliefs. Also Fun Fact: if you guys go back to this episode and look at the World Map showed in the Moon Base you will notice why we say that this an alternate Earth. Just to begin with there is a Giant Hole where Russia is supposed to be xdd.

2023-04-08 00:12:42 +0000 UTCYeah, the chill, just, characters sitting around talking and interacting eps are great. They kind of got a lot of hate while the show was airing for being 'pointless' 'filler' etc... but screw it, they are great! Though a good deal of the frustration was more on the well established clusterfuck that was Cartoon Network's way of airing new episodes. When you are waiting months for a new ep, and then half of what you get has nothing to do with whatever the main arc going on at the moment was....

2023-04-07 23:19:15 +0000 UTCYou were supposed to think Steven is quite a bit younger than he actually is (based on his looks and the more childish behavior especially around the beginning of the show,) but you looked up his age very early on and unknowingly got that part spoiled.

2023-04-07 20:00:52 +0000 UTCBefore Steven's birthday episode the fandom had no idea what Steven's age was so we just assumed he was around 9 to 11 years old and everyone pretty much had the same reaction Connie did when we found out he was actually turning 14.

2023-04-07 18:46:00 +0000 UTCIn the episode 'Keep Beach City Weird,' the one where Ronaldo talks about his conspiracy theories, he says this at the very end of the episode: 'They're here to hollow out the Earth! It's part of the Great Diamond Authority! They’ll take on any form, you can read all about it... ON MY BLOOOG!!!' Just one instance of the incredible foreshadowing this show has.

2023-04-07 17:32:48 +0000 UTCFun Fact: Rebecca Sugar- the creator of the show- named Steven after her brother Steven Sugar. She also made them share the same birthday!!
