2023-03-30 05:54:12 +0000 UTC'Fun enough' doesn't make for a great reaction series though, while there's some things I do like about the series that'd be nice to see a reaction to- I think there's much better shows to spend time on with a better payoff. Maybe I need to separate a bit more from my personal opinion of why I really don't like this show, but it'd be silly to ignore one side of an argument. I really don't carry this opinion for any other series [except one but it hasn't come up in conversation] so it feels important to discuss, ultimately it's their decision but some perspective on either side is worth hearing out.

Like... that is a very long, very "you need a list for the correct order" show, starts with a movie, and it may also need the nostalgia/ movie-lore of the OTHER live action movies to make complete sense, but IDK??? I have it on the brain tonight. I know I'm not selling it too well, but it's got action, drama, suspense, angst, and good times.

2023-03-29 20:10:35 +0000 UTCI absolutely do not recommend Star VS, not to be rude to the fans of it in the comments but I think folks just going into it as is without having been apart of the ride from the start might find it lacking. This also isn't bringing up my personal grievances that I think the show just isn't very good, the final seasons make the whole journey not worth it. I don't want to give anything away but it has one of the worst conclusions I've ever seen, not to mention just becomes a slog after the first few episodes of season three. If you come in thinking the whole of the show is good, you're being deceived. As someone who really enjoyed the first two seasons and had high hopes... unless you care about shipping this show isn't for you since it distracts from the actual quality bits. It's a bad show that can't be redeemed by the actual few good things they have, it's like eating a moldy cake and saying "oh but this bite was good!" before proceeding to eat even more mold bits.

2023-03-29 18:53:32 +0000 UTCMost of the reactors I've watched have enjoyed the show to the end, while also being disappointed by missed opportunities and the ending, and sharing at least some of the critiques the last 2 seasons of the show have gotten. But they still enjoyed it. I think it's worth their time, and I say that with complete bias.

I've rewatched it countless times through reactions and I love it just as much every time. I love it with all my heart and nothing or no one can take that away from me.
