Netflix combined some episodes which is why the seasons are listed as shorter. Episodes 12 and 18 are shown as having a run time of 47 minutes for Book 2 on Netflix. Book 3 has episodes 10 as 47 minutes, 13 as 45 minutes and 16 as 1HR and 32 minutes. Every other episode is either 23 or 24 minutes long.

The main take away from the swamp benders is that they showed us that there are less traditional or adapted ways of bending. Huu showed us that it is possible to think of bending in different ways compared to how Katara does it which is very rooted in the polar cultures and their environment.

Without spoiling anything guys, 9 times out of 10 your questions WILL be answered by the show: sometimes it outright says it, sometimes you gotta pay attention, but your questions WILL get answered. The other 1 time out of 10? Yes, "because cartoon" or "you may be overthinking something" is the answer. Eh, people misunderstand the English class thing, it’s not about “hidden meaning” but more about artistic intent and reading actual subtext, unfortunately it seems that people just had bad English teachers. But yeah, Avatar in particular is really good about directly telling the viewer what information you need to know at that point in time.

I think bending ability has no hard cap in this show. Imo bending ability is just about more control allowing for more power through an increase in understanding. Practicing control (of bending) leads to greater understanding (what does & doesn't work), understanding allows for greater power ("this will work better if I do this..."). Basically, if a bender has way more control & understanding of their element than others, they will probably be able to do things way beyond regular, but they are still human & have a limit somewhere on how big or small they can make an effect.

Avatar is good about telling it how it is or letting it build up to something. Don't need to English class it with the author said the curtains were blue; why are they blue? Is it do to the authors depression or to represent the harshness of winter. Sometimes the curtains are blue because the curtains are blue lol.

The pouch in which contains Katara's water is inorganic it is not a living thing that requires nutrients to live it is a pouch it is an inanimate object it cannot be manipulated so she has to open it to let the water out.

When it comes to Huu bending water in the vines, just think of it as another skill set of a different culture/region. Meanwhile, Katara can freeze things because she grew up in ice and snow. This won't be the last time

Katara could move the water while it’s still in her pouch, however all it would be it a floating pouch of water she can move around and while it’s cool removing the cap so she can pull the water from it allows a lot more uses. also something cool is that katara is voiced by Mae Whitman who also voices amity, who carries a pouch on her to store abomination goo

A cool neat detail is Zuko didn't get the Blue Spirit mask from just anywhere. In the beginning with Iroh and Zuko, you can actually see the Blue Spirit mask on a cart rolling by them. So that's how he has it again, cause i imagine his original one got destroyed when his ship blew up in the end of Season 1.
