In my opinion, if you're a fan of the movies, the shows are a must see. They go into dragon lore with so many different species of different dragons and explain a lot of the things that you end up. Seeing in the movies please i'm begging you react to the shows. Not many people do and it really is a shame because you will be missing out one thousand percent.

It's not just that the light fury is the female version of the night fury, so it's not a plothole, no worries. In fact, at the end, when it shows toothless and the light Furies. Babies that is a hybrid species that's canonically called "night lights" Because they were two different species.

2023-04-06 09:07:51 +0000 UTCFirst and foremost the ending of the film is nice to see them all grown up. The third film by itself can hold up on its own. Unfortunately, in my opinion, HTTYD and Kungfu Panda had great 1 and 2 movies but the 3rd usually fell short. The hidden world is definitely better than Kungfu Panda 3. However, overall I did not like the 3rd How to train your Dragon. It's good but theme wise it goes against everything the first film fought for, and the ideas that were repeated in the second film. I am fine with tragic endings or having a show/film end in a different direction compared to where the audience wants a show/movie to end. But the conclusion in the 3rd film clashed with the 1st and 2nd films. There are YTers that explain it better but that is why I am not a big fan of the 3rd film, very enjoyable but just felt a little betrayed. Great reaction and can't wait to see what movies you guys watch next.

2023-03-30 17:26:32 +0000 UTCJohn Wick would be amazing but it has nothing on "RRR" An amizingly epic over the top masterpiece of an emotional drama. With better action (imo) than John Wick. Another amazing dragon movie is "Reign of fire" its an older one so you guys might have seen it. But seriously cannot reccomend RRR enough. Its on Netflix. A better use of time on a 3 hour+ movie than "Avatar the way of water" which is also phenomenal btw. Can buy it on YT if you wanna do that one.

2023-03-26 00:49:57 +0000 UTCFrom my understanding, dragons leaving is a thing because it happened in the original books and they wanted that classic "there were dragons when I was a boy" line from the books. I haven't read the books, but they're very, very different and I heard this ending works much better there, because in the books the dragons have human intelligence and even their own language, they were slaves before they were freed and the dragons leaving happened during the span of several years.

You expected Astrid to ride Toothless' mate, but she was actually intentionally not given an actual name and doesn't want any person to ride her, because she is supposed to represent the wild; she can trust some people, but she doesn't want to be tamed.

2023-03-25 17:16:51 +0000 UTCi liked stoics death for the simple reason that he did indeed change and finding his wive alive made him even more optimistic about the future of humans and dragons but unlike Hiccup he knew from experience Toothless might actually shoot him and thus he leaped in the way to protect him to me it rounded out his character perfectly although very sudden so yeah prob 2-3-1 although they're all at least 8,5/10 for me

2023-03-25 02:57:57 +0000 UTCDefinitely recommend the Homecoming short (which gives context to the epilogue)+ The Gift of the Night Fury short (which was referenced in this movie). There is not going to be a HTTYD 4 at this point, what you saw that was coming out in 2025 is the live action version of the first movie. As others have stated, the Light Fury is a separate (yet very closely related) species from Night Furies. So Toothless is the last Night Fury, however there are more Light Furies (You can see a few of them in the Hidden World). Also their babies are called Night Lights! The Riders/Defenders of Berk + Race To The Edge are the two series that are worth watching, the Nine Realms series isn't nearly as good and has received mostly negative reviews.
