2023-07-12 05:47:14 +0000 UTCNot to add an irrelevant comment months later, but the lag thing was really funny so I'm gonna. When you broadcast on the web like this, you get a little lag. The thing is, all of them are broadcasting in real time, not just the show. So when you're in a call like this, you deal with the lag to get your voice and video to the other person, and then the lag as they come back to you. Which makes it IMPOSSIBLE to sing in tandem (trust me, I've tried). So H man is singing with the show in real time as it comes to him, but it's late to the rest of them because, even though they get the show at the same time, his voice is coming in afterwards from HIS broadcast.

Even the start of the episode is him disassociating until Amethyst snaps him out of it, so it makes sense he has no way to handle the stress when his whole life has just been combat training and not school. I don't remember a lot since the first time I watched the show, but it's definitely something they dive into in the later seasons

Makes me want to hit up some friends on discord and watch some anime or something like that, always such good vibes. Especially the bit about singing the intro that shit had me DYING.

The poison ivy response is an immunoresponse similar to allergies.The more you expose yourself to it the more likely you'll develop an allergy. Many people are resistant to it when younger but can develop more drastic responses as they get older.

Especially since these guys really appreciate when cartoons get story and lore heavy there's a lot to look forward to with the SU reactions going forward

This was set up in her first episode "Bubble Buddies" and later during "Mirror Gem" as set up for Steven learning about school and getting Lapis's mirror from Pearl.
