If I had to make a comparison Krillin is basically like the Ussop of dragon ball. He’s a fun character who’s always trying to help his friends and family and gets shit on for not beings able to keep up with the power level jumps.

2023-02-18 23:21:48 +0000 UTCYeah, being a fan of Krillin was not as commonplace with the fanbase, which sucked for me who DID love Krillin as one of my favorites--after Bulma, and before Vegeta became a true character in the series outside of being a villain. That being said, none of them won my heart like another character that comes in later. XD

2023-02-18 20:33:57 +0000 UTCJust remember, Krillin might be weak as shit. But he is canonically the strongest living Human on Earth. He can tank most things the others throw at him, whereas if he were a normal human he'd been in six zip codes at once from a light punch.

2023-02-18 20:08:28 +0000 UTCI think a lot of people like Krillin because he is aware of how weak he is but he still goes out of his way to help his Super Saiyan Best Friend fight the villains even though he has no chance. So we respect him for that. (while Yamcha gives up on trying to do that in the beginning of the Android Saga) Plus he does have a great technique, the Destructo-Disc, or Kienzan in Japanese. Also he gets arguably the most stable and best family in DBZ. (Not in terms of power levels before anyone tries to correct me with that)

Before we get to episode 14, I do recommend watching Bardock: Father of Goku Abridged (the 20 minute one from 12 years ago, not the "Episode of Bardock") as it will introduce Season 2 characters very well.
