2023-02-18 20:24:09 +0000 UTCIt sucks because Michael did a great job but it's understandable from a studio perspective it's a lot easier to rope in new potential viewers when you get more recognizable names. Voicing Angel will most likely be going to Rob Paulsen who voiced Yakko Warner in the Animaniacs. Viv has said before that Yakko was the inspiration for Angel's voice so now that there is a big studio budget it makes sense to pay the experienced legacy voice actor that inspired the voice in the first place

2023-02-17 15:13:33 +0000 UTCAll good man. I'm still sad about most of the main cast's VAs are getting replaced, but I have no doubt in my mind that Viv has found worthy replacements. She loves the characters and the show more than we possibly could. All I ask for is for Ed to survive as the speaking voice of Alastor and Monica as Vaggie... we need at least *some* familiar voices!

Don't remember who, but at least one person who got recast *is* a part of SAG-AFTRA, which means that either there was some other reason for that person specifically to be let go, or that being in the actors guild had nothing to do with it.

2023-02-17 03:43:48 +0000 UTCYeah there’s a lot of fan songs that have official voice actors in them you can check out it may not have crazy cool animation like addict but the songs are just 👌 my recommendation is “Radio play” it’s fairly new it’s by both of Alastors voice actors (singing and talking) and is made by Silva hound the people who made addict originally!

Alastor's singing VA from the pilot, (AKA Black Gryph0n (Gabriel Brown)) has some songs on his Youtube as Alastor also, especially "Insane" with Baasik. I don't think these are "official content" technically, and wont have the same animation, but the fandom freaked out about them, so do with that what you will?
