So abridged series are still being made today just less common, and while dealing with copyright did play a part in why tfs stopped after cell, the biggest reasons were writers burnout and they were tired of working within the confines of the existing footage

A lot of Team Four Star has spread out and they just didn't feel into the idea of doing DBZA anymore because they were burnt out. Which is fitting, the team is an absolute powerhouse of talent but they have so much widespread potential that nailing themselves to DBZA for 11 years really hurt their growth more than it helped.

2023-02-12 06:23:13 +0000 UTCI would entertain Kai Abridged first, then Bardock: The Father of Goku, then Season 2, then Kai Abridged 2.0, then Season 3 up to episode 38, then History of Trunks, then 39-60 part 3. Movie abridgeds should be reacted to after the main series ends. They’re all good but not treated as completely canon in the series.

2023-02-11 21:50:06 +0000 UTCFunny you bring up one piece because theres a pretty funny abridged parody called None Piece. The narrator in this is also voiced by the creator of Yugioh abridged which is also very good once it gets going.

I'll admit, this first season is one that many long time fans, and even the creators, cringe at because of how low quality all aspects are compared to just how utterly brilliant it all becomes later on. 2023-02-11 18:24:43 +0000 UTCTo answer Boom's question as to why Sayians turn into a monkey is because the original Dragon Ball was inspired by the famous Chinese Classic 'Journey to the West' in which the main character, Sun Wukong, is a monkey and among other powers had the ability to make himself several times larger. Goku is based off on him. When Dragon Ball Z came out and Toriyama (the mangka) expanded on the lore of the universe he decided to give Sayains the ability to become a giant monkey
