2024-01-04 22:22:09 +0000 UTCPretty much the ONLY issue I have with this episode is that at no point does Bumi express the vaguest hint of surprise or confusion that Aang is still only 12 years old. Before Aang went into the ice, they were the same age or near enough. Right from the jump we saw that Zuko himself understood that if the Avatar he was looking for was the one that immediately followed Roku, they would have been looking for a man over a hundred years old.* But Bumi, who knew Aang personally, doesn't even bother to ask WHY Aang is still the same age? *Although I do find it a little odd that Zuko would default to that assumption and cling to it, because he certainly would've known the Avatar cycle of air - water - earth - fire. Given that it was his own family that exterminated the Air Nation, it just seems hard to believe that between that and a hundred year span, it wouldn't occur to him or anyone else to consider the prospect that the Avatar had moved on within the cycle.

2023-02-07 19:59:13 +0000 UTCTo answer your question about why omashu looks untouched compared to other nations (without spoilers) if you look at the map in the into of the show of the avatar world the earth kingdom is the largest nation and with its large size the fire nation has had a hard time getting to every city that’s why cities know about the war but aren’t invaded, the fire nation has gotten that far yet this is explored later in the series.
