Not sure if anyone's told you guys but the Kindergarten's design is a reference to the Junji Ito manga "The Enigma of Amigara Fault".

Can't wait to see what you guys think of it! ^^

When I was a kid I was really "parented" by this cartoon. I lot of the episodes from now one talk about more emotional heavy stuff, and I believe it helped a lot of children like myself, who where having problems at home or with the family.

I'll admit, with the exception of the Season Finale, On The Run is the Season 1 Episode I've been MOST hyped for your reactions to, and it hasn't disappointed. Yay! Not to mention the numerous times the other two wanted to know something about what was going on and they immediately ask Garnet, who nearly always pauses to shift her glasses a bit before answering.

Viruses that latch onto other cells and inject their DNA into it to take over said cell and make it use it's resources to replicate more of the virus. Also, keep in mind the literal meaning of the word "Kindergarten" is "Child Garden" Oh and for just more disturbing trivia, that bit with "this is my hole! It's shaped like me!" and Amethyst sliding into said hole, plus the overall look of all those roughly human shaped holes lining the walls was a reference to the Junji Ito story The Enigma of Amigara Fault

2023-02-03 23:09:09 +0000 UTCAmethyst is just as flawed as the rest of the Crystal Gems but they haven't had a lot of chances to see that yet cause up till this point it's just been childishness but in the next batch of episodes they'll get a chance to see Amy genuinely be in the wrong so it will be interesting to see how their opinions change

Amethyst aint no saint either. They both got their own personal issues and they end up taking them out on each other.

The point they were trying to make here is that the circumstances around Amethyst's creation do not reflect on her. Amethyst was taking on the horror of the kindergarten as a reflection of herself when the two things, while linked for sure, but not a reflection on her own identity. The awful actions of Amethyst's predecessors are not her responsibility nor her fault. The sins of the fathers' shouldn't reflect on the son type of thing.

Essentially... how all Gems are made... i just want to throw out there the possibility that the reason Homeworld Gems are doing this in other planets it's with the purpose of self-perpetuating their species. We know that Gems are inmortal in the sense that they don't age at all but like you already saw before with Amethyst herself... Their actual gems can crack rather easily and that kind of damage CAN kill them. Also... Pearl still calling the Kindergarten "A Mess" in her apology is appropriate because it's true, from their perspective (in the ideological sense) what happened in that place was a bad thing... Both Pearl and Amethyst are in the same page in that regard.

You really start to see the flaws in some of the characters in the show from here on out especially pearl and amethyst. They’re very flawed characters, but so compelling also, the fact the amethyst is from earth is kind of an indicator of how much she knows. She’s honestly not much above Steven level at all

There's still a lot of questions that will be answered in the remaining 12 episodes but even more that will be left unanswered for multiple seasons to come. All I know is there's gonna be some crazy big reveals and character moments for these next 3 weeks
