The Last Of Us Episode 2 REACTION

Comments

I like Bella's delivery of the line "I'm an orphan and uh.... no..." As someone who knows the games like the back of their hand I cracked up because its the first little nod to Ellie being a lesbian.

I would tend to agree, but the thesis of this show is that the cordyceps evolved because of rising global temperatures, making it able to infect warmer creatures like humans. who run at almost 100F I imagine at this point these now fungus would be highly heat resistant, or all temperature extremes in general

preettty sure pesticides and herbicides are toxic to humans if ingested, or atleast at the levels required to kill shit in your blood, or cells.

Ruff - Elliot* Page now

Yagi di Hoshi

I mean even if she didn’t turn over night and had it for awhile doesn’t mean that she couldn’t turn at some point, at least in Joel’s mind. *SPOILERS FOR DEAD ISLAND 1 and DLC* . . . . . . . . . As seen in dead island the 4 survivors who were immune ended up succumbing to the disease in the end and turned into super zombies so it’s not like immunities are concrete. Real life examples being the yearly flu shot. Yes I’m only mentioning virus and not the fungus the series is talking about but I feel like the principle of organic matter evolving still applies

Golden Witch Beatrice

Remember - Funghi cannot survive in warm temperatures, so trying to lock the infected into a sauna; similar to what the Stranger Things gang did to Billy in the one episode while he was posessed by the Mind Flayer could be an option to cure them. But who am I to talk, we'll see how the series will handle it. Always glad to see Eric and HMan trying to craft theories

Jan Ripken

Wow you’re so cool

Monkey D. Moritz

Also, in this reaction, the roles of SeeOhKnee and Hman have been switched. Hman coming with the legit logical questions and SeeOhKnee rebuking them.

Know Your Roll

Funny how Ruff says they changed the infection vector to avoid the actors wearing masks all the time... with Pedro coming back from a show where he famously wears a mask all the time. :-) Also, the cure to an infection like this would have to make the host body toxic to the fungus while not being toxic enough to kill the body itself. Think about the way insecticide is poisonous to insects and us, but not the plants we spray them on. Would need the same thing for fungus, something we could flush through the blood stream that would be deadly to it and not to us.

Know Your Roll

its cute how they start the episode with talking about ps or xbox, both fail against a PC. but keep dreaming you console gamers. i will use my pc and play all the games your consoles have and more.

Incidentally the United States wasn't a part of the revised Geneva convention. One of the only places where its okay for white phosphorous and napalm to be used by the military is the United States. Also tear gas is considered a war crime but the police love it.
