They are censoring stuff in S2 they didnt censor in the pilot/earlier episodes. Not to mention we are referring to the changes YouTube has just rolled out in the past 2-3 weeks. There has not been a new helluva boss episode put out in the current tos that YouTube just updated.

There are actually 2 voices that changed after the Pilot, one you noticed easily is Stolas but it didnt seem like any of u noticed that Millie's voice was also different. In the Pilot she is voiced by Erica Lindbeck, who also voices Loona in this as well as the actual series and is also the same person who voiced Futaba in Persona5 and has done a bunch of other VA gigs as well

2023-01-20 01:46:04 +0000 UTCHelluva Boss is mainly financed by merchandise sales on Vivziepop's Shark Robot page where they sell tons of stuff from shirts, hoodies, caps, posters, playmats, pins, keyring etc. I personally have bought these items ive named an there pretty good quality. They usually have videos on her channel around holidays to announce new merch or returning merch but some are limited time only. Also while Vivzie sold some of Hazbin's right to another studio. She's said that she will always own Helluva Boss and it will always be free on youtube.

2023-01-19 18:49:50 +0000 UTCSo most project is paid for by patreon and the pilot came out of Vivzie's personal funds. I can't remember if they used a kickstarter. Her discord server is behind a $50/month tier paywall on patreon and back in 2020 there were over 100 people on it for the entire year... so I'm pretty sure most of the funding comes from that. But she may have other investors from other sources, I'm not on the team, so I don't have full answers. But I know that they're not too concerned about youtube monetization.

2023-01-19 18:33:58 +0000 UTCThey don't monetize on youtube afaik, but they have a sizable Patreon with almost 4000 members, as well as a LOT of merchandise. With how each episode has more and more animators and more polish, I think their finances are probably fine. The main concern would be youtube pulling the plug altogether and stopping them from posting the cartoons in the first place.
