one thing i love to see in this episode is how Zuko actually evolved his skill in combat. we remember in the pilot how his moves were stiff, pushing through with pure stubbornness and no tact. but he clearly took a page off Aang's book with the more fluid movements in his bending.

I hope this doesn’t come as a spoiler, but the relationship Zuko has with his dad is very similar to another relationship in another show you have guys watched

When Aang lit up it wasnt just statues that lit us, we saw a painting lit up, a building lit up and other general symbols. From that you can interpret it that any sybol of the avatar is spiritually connected to it, including the buildings they lived at and such.

Boom you are kinda wrong because the Airbenders are all vegetarian, it was just Sokka being hopeful

The fire nation attacked AFTER aang went into Ice, he only knew be was the avatar, and the avatar doesnt exist to stop the fire nation, it is just the current imbalance to the world

Just a little clarification on the timeline of the war (no spoilers):
Aang said he never knew about the war, which meant it started during the time he was frozen, not before. Since Aang is 12, it started around 12 years after the previous Avatar died

Momo means 'peach' in Japanese, which is what Momo took back from Sokka.

The pausing was a little much for me this episode. Don't mind the pausing but I personally wouldn't mind if yall with the longer talks discussed them at the end. That many pauses kind of broke up the flow. Just a suggestion though.

Those other glowing Temples you saw were actually each nations shrine for the Avatars. The monks lived in Air Temples. The southern Air temple where Aang grew up just so happened to contain the shrine that the Air Nomads had.

The Iroh love is awesome to see so early on!
For added "This is awesome" effect, the moves for every bending style are based on IRL martial arts. Of what you've seen, Firebending is Northern Shaolin, while Airbending is based on Baguazhang

There's so much imperialism, colonialism, and genocide hidden in the line "everything changed when the fire nation attacked".
