2023-01-08 22:33:26 +0000 UTCThis is just my opinion, but I feel like the episodes just get better from here on out. Like the previous stories were still good, but I remember the upcoming episodes plots and moments way more. Episodes 20 - 22 (order following Netflix at least) are especially close to my heart and I just feel like we see more glimpses of the turtles showing off their character and what really makes them all stand out from any previous incarnation. I know the first ep or two got a lot of flack for the turtles all being the "party dude" and not having as distinct personalities, but even at the point you guys are at, that's definitely not true. Hell, the early episode Donnie's gifts, while more ham fisted than later instances, goes out of it's way to show you how each brother is different and they only get more depth from there. I also think it REALLY worked in the show's favor to make them different ages which helped give them a distinct dynamic. As you pointed out, Mikey is the youngest and this show DOES something with that and the other boy's ages. Also, though I don't think the show ever addresses it and it may even just one of those major fanon ideas, Leo and Donnie in this series are widely considered to be twins (the disaster twins) and even if that's not true, the dynamic works with how competitive they can be with each other as the two middle children. There's just so much to love about the characters.
