2023-01-07 10:52:11 +0000 UTCI think I read somewhere that the arivaderchi was to reference the fact that Steven's voice actor Zach Callison actually speaks Italian in real life but also I've never watched Jojo's so I wouldn't know when a reference is being used for it but you are correct Rebecca Sugar is a big anime fan and uses a lot of anime references throughout the series

2023-01-06 20:05:16 +0000 UTCfun fact the concept of the time glass was actually the plot they used for the pilot episode. If you go watch the pilot episode later on you can see that while the episode was different they used the same time travel hourglass
