As for the Hazbin Hotel pilot, which I've also seen people ask for (and I'd like to see you react to as well), it can be watched at any point since it has completely different characters and plot, only sharing the location (Hell).

It's a little all over the place compared to the actual episodes bc well its a pilot so its just to get the concept out there, but it sets up some necessary exposition (for example, you would know going into episode one who Stolas is and his relationship with Blitzø, as well as the fact that Moxxie and Millie are married). Additionally, some of the voices are different (I think most notable are Millie and Stolas) but I personally don't think they're as far off from the actual VAs than some people say. Millie's is probably the farthest off (her accent is less noticeable in the pilot) but Stolas sounds more or less the same to me.

2022-12-08 07:01:52 +0000 UTCJust a couple notes in case you guys don't know: 1.- Helluva Boss is a Spin-off of another series called Hazbin Hotel (you already might know it) which was picked up the company A24 to make it into a full fleshed TV series that will come out on summer 2023. 2.- From what the creators have said already... Helluva Boss will be a lot more episodic in nature... Unlike Hazbin Hotel which will be a lot more story-driven. 3.- in regards to the lore of both shows... The most important things you should know are these: - both series take place in a universe similar to ours but where (obviously) both Hell and Heaven exist. - Hell itself it's divided into 7 layers or "Rings" representing the 7 deadly sins, each ring has it's own cities and landscapes and more importantly... Each Ring is ruled by a Demon Prince/King. - There are primarily 2 Major types of Citizens of Hell... The Naturalborn Demons and The Sinners. The Naturalborn Demons like Blitzø, Moxxie, Millie (Imps) and Loona (Hellhounds) as the name suggest are demons who were born in hell and they are able to travel and live freely in all of the 7 Rings of Hell. Sinners on the other hand are the humans who were sent to Hell after they died, they can greatly vary in form and size (their demonic form being a representation of their soul or... of how they died) and they can only live in the Pride Ring which is ruled by the King of Hell himself Lucifer. - Another thing to note about Hell is that.... In this universe Hell isn't so much a place of Pure Punishment, but a place in which is even harder to live since it has so many bad people in it (as you have seen this show's version of Hell has a structural society very similar to ours). This applies specially to the Pride Ring since it is there where all of the Sinners live. -Stolas as you have seen is both a Naturalborn Demon and also Royalty, he's part of the "Goetia Family" which is an Elite Group of Demon Families who have privilege and power far beyond other citizens of hell. And also... Stolas despite having the title of "Prince" he's not the Ruler of a Ring of Hell, Prince is a title commonly given to Demon Royalty Members. There's lot more lore stuff in these series but this is the essential to understand it better. I hope it helps. PD: one last thing..... I was initially ok with the fact that you guys skipped the Pilot of this series, but after rewatching this second episode i remembered that the Pilot actually has important scenes and context for the continuity of the entire show soooo... It would be a good idea for you guys to watch it. It could be a little jarring since some of the voices are different but i think it's worth it.

The robotic Fizzaroli (emphasis on robotic) is voiced by the man who plays Beetleguese in the Broadway musical. Meanwhile, the woman who plays Octavia also plays the main character, Veronica Sawyer, in the musical Heather's. There will be a lot of voices I'll get to throw out in this series.

Hazbin Hotel was picked up by A24 and is under contract not to be released until its entire season is complete. Helluva Boss is independently produced and so is released episode by episode as they are finished.
