2022-10-12 16:05:30 +0000 UTCThis is just to get a better understanding in marvel for you guys especially with the whole Logan is back thing. Logan is by marvel yes but it is not MCU. MCU is marvel cinematic universe owned by disney (ex: ironman, cap and tom holland spiderman). Wolverine and the x men were owned by Fox not disney so most of the x men movies were made in diff timeline and by the time marvel (disney) acquired them back was 2019. So marvel has not known what to do so far to incorporate the x men yet and we have been waiting. So the wolverine that will be in the mcu is going to be a multiversal variant. This is the same for deadpool who was also in the X men timeline.

2022-10-04 12:12:58 +0000 UTCThis was suppose to be Hugh Jackman's last film playing wolverine that's why they had to do the character justice by making it gruesome and his death. Also, wolverine's daughter was a big plus to the film, I've been a fan of the character ever since she was introduced in the animated X-Men series. Lastly a little info on wolverine's power/abilities, he was in the weapon X program which basically transformed his skeleton into adamantium (the same material as the bullet Laura used). The material is also poisonous for Logan but his healing factor was the only thing keeping him alive till now. Laura however was not put in the same program but was only placed adamantium claws on her hands and feet. Other than the claws, Laura has all of her father's traits, the good and bad. Love the reactions and cannot wait for new stuff.

They purposefully wrote it in a way that people wouldn't have to watch every previous x-men movie to be able to understand and enjoy it, so most people I think just consider it independent from the timeline for that reason. (very slight spoilers for Deadpool 2 and Avengers Endgame) Deadpool has to be a different universe from the main MCU timeline anyway because of the existence of the x-men in it and the fact that the time travel in Deadpool 2 directly contradicts the rules of time travel set up in Endgame, so they can basically do whatever they want. Looking forward to some more movies from you guys! I recommend Arrival!
