Is 9.1.5 enough to get back into WoW...?

I'm finally back after a much-needed vacation with my family - and I suppose Blizz wouldn't be the Blizz I know if there wasn't something to talk about as soon as I've stepped foot into the office!
As you may have heard, there are a whole lot of changes coming into the 9.1.5. I won't be getting into any reasons why I think that happened, or what the hidden agenda is, or even what the changes are, as this would turn into a novel, rather than an email.
Since you and I met through my WoW content, I think it's fair to answer the question: will I be coming back to WoW, now that the changes to the game have been announced?
For me, the answer to the question is still a big, fat no. Regardless of the changes. I don't want to bore you with all my reasonings, but here are some things that are stopping me from even considering it:
- the changes are making most of my current WoW content on the channel obsolete
- I've already done all the hard stuff that is now getting removed, and I finally realize how arbitrary those reasons for all the gating were
- I'm fully into something else at the moment (Eorzea ftw!)
- WoW Token still exists as a method of p2w
- The Blizz house hasn't been fully cleared yet
There's more - I could go on for days about how I've never felt more respected and cherished as a content creator in the FFXIV community (and I haven't even hit max level yet!). With a heavy heart, I sat down, weighed my pros and cons, and I realized I belong there. The result of this thought experiment was this video.

I think it was summed up well by another podcaster who said "Why didn't anyone tell me I was playing a crappy game!" Regardless of the state of the Blizzard house, which continues to be atrocious. I feel this patch is too little too late. A lot of this should have been active at the launch of Shadowlands. The only thing remotely appealing to me are the new Druid travel forms and the race customizations. Both of which are really just shiny baubles trying to keep my attention. I am sick of the endless grind just to keep people subscribed. Then the turn around of these same systems as the expansion winds down making the grind obsolete. I expect like so many previous expansions that everything earned in shadowlands and all that content will just be trashed for a complete reboot of systems and story themes. FFXIV has spoiled me with how well the story flows from expansion to expansion. Nothing is lost, nothing is forgotten. It all builds upon itself so well. Comparatively wow feels like so much lost potential, it just breaks my heart looking at it now.
