Pag. 71 Update!

Dear Patrons, I finally completed page 71! https://pleasurebonbon-next.com/comics/volume/1/page/71/

For those who are not Patrons there is the update of the new free page for them!

If you are Patrons you will find page 71, otherwise you will find the update of the low resolution basic page 62 for free (larger with the tiers) here https://pleasurebonbon-next.com/comics/volume/1/page/62/

I love making these characters and backgrounds... even though they are difficult and long to draw and color, but in the end it's worth it!

I'm preparing a post for you where I'll explain a bit of the history of coffee in Italy in the 1800s and how that little machine needs to be flipped to works! I also went to the antiques market to find other props, unfortunately I didn't find the coffee machine in question and I had to rely on online photos, but as you know I prefer to find the props in person when I can, it's more exciting!

I also corrected page 70 that had some errors and I removed (on suggestion) Lucia's first balloons because it works better that way. Thanks!

This page is very gorgeous artistically speaking, Vanessa. :') Your artwork is beautiful in each and every new page you make. <3 Story wise.....it's really good but boy is this page very somber.....but it's totally understood knowing what William's family lost. :'(

Thanks for the kind correction! Piccirillo means little one in Sicilian. So " the little one" like "the kid/ the baby". Is not a name, it is the way of calling children in Sicily. It ends with an O so it is a masculine word. Well, the family is not rich but it is quite well off because the orange grove is an asset. But the grandfather will put money aside. All the grandparents in Italy put money aside for their grandchildren, my grandfather did it for me too ❤️ Italians have always been great savers and care a lot about the future of their children and grandchildren, building the future for them.

Page 71! Awesome! Though the page is a sad one. :( We can see you love drawing these characters and backgrounds, and that love is a big reason we love seeing it. :) I have only a few things about the dialogue I'd like to point out. "...All of you from this moment in this family..." This line kinda works, but I miss a "on" in the sentence. Like this: "All of you from this moment ON in this family." It's not vital, but it gives a bit more emphasis I think. "For all of you and the Piccirillo! I've seen "Piccirillo" used when Antonio refered to William, but is that his first name, or last name? The "the" in this line makes me think it's his last name, but immediately after Elias starts talking like he just refered to William by name. Is Piccirillo a title? I can't remember if I asked this before. But jepp, those are the only two things I had some concerns about. :) Aww. Look at them all, dresed in black, mourning. And so Elias became the il duce of the family, putting Willy on his course... Maybe that's why Willy ran away: he couldn't handle the pressure. Did Antonio get such a special education? I don't think so, and I don't think their family is super wealthy, so how did they afford to get Willy enroled in le Rosey? Questions, questions. Well done, Vanessa! This is a great page. :)

I’m surprised that the story has shifted from a cheerful and familiar tone to a more serious and somewhat gloomy one, at least from my perspective.
