Pag.62!

Do any of you recognize that flower? I've seen them live growing up in my neighborhood, where I was born and raised, sometimes I brought one home! I know the name in Italian, and also the legend behind it, and you?

Herold you are always very attentive to all the details as well as to the texts, for this reason you will be my bios corrector, as you proposed to me! ;) But are you sure you want to know them in advance? LOL don't you fear spoilers? I'll send you one at a time because I don't want to spoil you XD Yes, I think I made a mistake, as you said, someone talks behind the back of Antonio's family and he wants to challenge him to say things to his face, vis a vis! So what is the correct form in your opinion? Thank you! Yes, very good, Sofia used her wine glass for the flower! Correct! :D And a last thing, before showing you the page I was forgetting to turn the dad's photo in sepia...sometimes I forget too! But I would have made a big mistake! Because I still want to leave some mystery before his color model for the character bio! ;)

Another beautiful and detailed page. It's a simple scene but so much is happening. I get a real sense of a true family. But, my eyes continue to return to Sofia. *cough* She is quite lovely. <3

I didn't recognize the flower, but when I looked it up, it's supposedly from South America, and is called "Blue Passion Flower." And apperantly it's used to symbolise Christ. Since I'm relatively new here, who's Gianluca? As for the page: bugger! I forgot that they didn't have coloured photos back then XD Perhaps Williams dad is an abyssinian like the rest, but part of me likes to think that he might be a british shorthair :P That is quite the dreamy background! Although perhaps Williams attention was elsewhere, so he doesn't remember it :) I do love what you've done with the table! It looks lovely. The kids get water glasses while the adults drink wine. Although Sofia also has a water glass? I thought the drinking age was lower in Italy, especialy back then. Or perhaps she gave her wine glass to her dad. Aww :') What is this with Antonio? Someone wants to give him something? I think there's been a mistake here, because he says "Let ME tell it to MY face." Is he supposed to say something to himself? Is HE supposed to say something to someone's face, or are THEY supposed to say something to him? Either way, it seems the grandfather doesn't want him to accept.

Thanks for the long and careful analysis of your description Kanbe. In Italy, photos of deceased parents, until a few years ago, are always present and displayed, usually in the dining room. Sometimes, always in the past and in more traditional families, there is a small crucifix or a bottle in the shape of a Madonna with holy water inside, near the photos. There sometimes also a rosary attached, or a palm branch (olive tree) blessed at Easter. In short, yes, in our parents' homes there has always been a sacred corner dedicated to our loved ones. Now, with instagram and social media, the new generation no longer does it like it used to like in the past. As I said, in these pages it is Sunday and the family is gathered without the employees, who are also with their families. In those days, all families in Italy went to mass on Sunday mornings, so it's no coincidence that they took their father's photo out on this beautiful day, also because there's an empty chair, and it was his place. The flower is called Passiflora, and it is the flower of the Passion of Jesus Christ. It is a flower that is born in spring, to remember his death ... and is made up of 12 petals (like the 12 apostles) 10 above and 2 below , three red nails ( like the three nails they used for Jesus) and a thorny crown! Quite amazing, uhu? In addition (but less striking) the pistils resemble small hammers, which we know were used to build the cross and nail Jesus. It is no coincidence that Sofia found that flower, which grows spontaneously, and she put it on a Sunday to remember her father's death, which perhaps occurred in that period, three years earlier ... Yes Sofia is wonderful! :)

Sorry to hear Gianluca's computer is having problems. :( Though I appreciate you sending us the color version of the new page, Vanessa. ^_^ And I have to say...... This page filled me up with so many emotions. OoO The part of little Will talking to her grandma is SO cute it melts my heart! >w< Also the other younger sisters praying at the table was very lovely too. ^-^ Speaking of lovely, I.......I think I'm in love Sofia. @/////@ The panel of her praying is just so....beautiful. O//////O Like in that one panel she's in....I'm speechless. <3 Continuing on, I know you've mentioned it before, but seeing William's father picture in the frame.....it's pretty sad. :'( How much of a custom is this in Italy, Vanessa? I know in the military they have a table for the lost soldier for the people that died, but I wasn't sure if this is a custom in other people's cultures outside the military. Finally, the fighting of Will's older brother with his grandpa.....I'm curious what group they're talking about and how serious it is. >.> Overall I really enjoyed how much work you put into this page, Vanessa. <3 It really shows and I thank you for all of your hard work. :D As for your question: I unfortunately never seen that flower before (at least in real life). <.< But it looks very pretty. (✿◠‿◠) What's the name and legend behind this gorgeous flower, Vanessa? o.O (If you don't mind me asking. </////<)
