Thanks as always for your support and your presence, I wanted to tell you that the new page is almost finished, but also to tell you some things, they are all linked but I will start from the most recent.
Italy has been in lockdown since Monday...
you can find all the news about it on the web, but the most absurd thing is that they have closed everything, even the parks.
About this, I wrote to my mayor via facebook, because I now live in a small town on the border with Rome, where life is quieter, less smog but also problems, such as for example I'm waiting for them to put the fast Internet line for 13 years ... ADSL, and for 13 years I have been surfing at 6-7 mega through a small antenna installed on the roof, which I pay monthly. But the thing is about to be resolved ... I discovered, during a walk, the work in progress for ... THE FIBER !!! MIRACOLO !!! I can't believe it, I asked the workers during the work in progress and they told me that it will take one or two months to finish the work and I will be able to request it by subscription !!
THE FIBER ... it seems like a dream to me ...
However, this is not the matter, the topic is that my mayor is always on facebook and speaks to his fellow citizens very openly, like mayor Quimby of Simpsons...
He's only 30, so he's very "social".
Well I had a chat with him last night to complain, to protest, because he decided to close even the parks ... the parks !! Sun and fresh air! For me this is insane. We are in total madness.
He replied that there are so many problems, that he cannot control everything ... he fears crowds in the parks. CROWDS?
I took pictures of my park, before closing, it is empty.
Apart from the fact that old people and children go to the park, it is the grandparents who babysit their little grandchildren while their parents work, from home, the park is a safe place.
So here is the situation, I'm closed in the house again, it's terrible, it's frustrating, and this will last until April.
I hope that everything passes quickly, that I can go out and sunbathe.
Because I explained to the mayor that I'm not very well, indeed, I'm sick.
I did some blood tests and I have a lack of vitamin D, the normal values are from 25 to 80 and I am 7 ... so I went to the doctor who prescribed me to sunbathe because I do not assimilate vitamin D and this is active with the sun. Having been locked in the house for more than a year this was the reason why I had this drop in vitamin D. Also because my house is north facing and the sun only comes during sunset, between 4:00 and 6:00. : 00 PM only on my balcony.
See the pic with Fusilli.
So I had been going to the park for about 20 days to get an hour of sun, as prescribed.
But the mayor was adamant. Closed parks. Are the parks closed in your country as well? Just to have an idea if I am the one who is wrong, maybe I'm just panicking because the doctor told me I need to go out and get some sun for my health. And so I'm agitated.
The last thing I want to tell you is that unfortunately I can no longer send anything from Italy, I mean the traditional commissions that I used to love doing. Two reasons: there is a queue of HOURS outside my post office, even if it would be an opportunity to sunbathe ha ha ha ... no. Because those people are too many, too close, and THAT is a ASSEMBLY! The crowd is there, not in the park!
Apart from that ... the last time I sent my last drawing to Kanbe, it was December, I was told that I can no longer send things to America because they will be blocked and examined all! No. I don't want they to open the envelopes with the artworks I send you, as well as being very personal, I make impeccable packaging, very accurate, to get the PERFECT artworks, I cannot allow that an original drawing, one-of-a-kind, come pulled out and touched. Oh no.
In fact, the artwork for Kanbe, was hidden in the bottom of a box, containing sweets above XD , do you know how long it took to arrive? 3 months.
So I apologize but the next commissions will be digital, and for this the tier will be cheaper because there will be no shipping costs.
That's all for today, see you soon with other stories.

Thanks for your experience! I have an italian facebook friend who lives in Oslo but she never shared the covid situation there. She always says that she is happy to have moved to Oslo from Italy and that she is happier there :)

Norway here. Where I live, almost nothing is closed, but most people work from home(I can't WFH), and even the busses run. There's a couple of routes we are asked to wear a mask, and during the worst time, we were forbidden from entering at the front. (They won't accept cash payment, but will accept cards, SMS or app payment. ) That's where I live. In Oslo, it's supposedly stricter, but they still can't control the spread, mostly because a lot of people ignore the few real rules that are in place.
As for parks, I don't visit parks all that often, but instead I go hiking, and the last year I have NOT gone hiking at all. Because the car parks at the trailhead is usually overfull with cars. People who would never be seen out in the woods or mountains are now flocking to them. Because all the overpriced health clubs, weight studios and yoga studios are all closed.
So your parks would most likely have been flooded by vain weightlifters, crossfits without a clue, vain spinners with selfie sticks and so on.

I'm really sorry to hear about the lockdowns, Vanessa. :'( I'm also sadden to hear about your sickness. D': I do hope they end in Italy when April comes! But I am happy that you're getting fiber optic internet soon. :D It'll be magnificent. :3
It sucks that you can't send traditional art (for the time being). @_@ But knowing that it's a huge line and they're inspecting the packages, I can understand why that is put to a halt right now. :o And she isn't joking either about how long it took for me to get her special gift. OoO She sent the package towards the beginning of December and I didn't get it until close to the end of February. I was getting worried that customs took my package or it was destroyed in shipping. ;_; But luckly I got the package and the drawing was 100% fine. :'D Also the sweets that Vanessa gifted to me too (which thank you SOOOOOOOOO MUCH for that, Vanessa! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3), were very sweet. ;3

Some countries will even DESTROY art of a certain nature, that people try to bring in. I always fear this, in Australia. I look forward to getting some digital commissions from you. ^-^
Thinking about the park... I'm not sure. I think your mayor is trying to reduce potential spread. Over here, when in lockdown, masks were mandatory, even outside; social distancing at all times (1.5meters between people), and many small businesses that weren't completely necessary were closed. Even gatherings of more than 4-5 people weren't allowed, during the worst of times. This appears to have proven effective because even in the big city, Melbourne, the infection rate plummeted. We even had almost a month of ZERO new cases recorded, until some dumbass snuck across the state border and brought the infection with them. Another few weeks in lockdown, and the infection was cleared out.
From what I understand, Italy has a very high infection rate. I think your mayor may be trying to reduce possible spread by restricting movement through unnecessary locations. I hope things improve for you, quickly. I admit, I find myself imagining a sunbathing Vanessa ;) ;)

I'm sorry about all the unfortunate things happening to you, Vanessa. Hopefully everything starts turning out for the better soon. April is only a month. Here's hoping that you can do traditional art again soon.

Oh god, i had no idea that Italy was in lockdown. :( And the way they try to resolve this sounds way too radical.
I'm from Latin-America, and selected places are open in my state, but, people are very negligent and that's why we have a lot of confirmed cases.

This is great! Whenever I see one of those 'There's only one thing men want, and it's disgusting!' posts I always reply 'Gigabyte Internet is not disgusting!'
