The New Delight Castle preview

Tonight I want to talk to you about the work I'm doing on the new Delight Castle project.

As I have always said, Delight castle is inspired by a palace I visited in Innsbruck called "Goldenes Dachl", The Golden Roof, which was the residence of the Austrian monarchy.

I also chose it for other reasons but I can't tell you all, for reasons of spoilers.

For the new Delight Castle I decided to take inspiration also from a Hotel that I saw in Rieti, the city that contains the exact center of Italy, represented by a memorial:

The Grande Albergo Quattro Stagioni is not special, but it is nice and when I saw it I've noticed that has a front that seems to fit the Castle, because Delight Dastle is not just a casino / castle but also a hotel. It has the same combination of: entrance, central window and balcony, which follow each other vertically in the center of the front as in my old project.

So I took pictures and took a note of it for the reboot.

I like the idea to add a "pensilina"... a glass shelter with iron, i don't know the english term...

For the roof and windows of this, I like those of the Chateau de Villandry, a French castle in the Loire, famous for its garden. But it will be gold, or dark pink.

So as you can see ... my work is also quite cerebral, also because I want to make everything work, especially the proportions. What you see outside will recombine inside.

The New Delight Castle will have some colors reversed from the previous one, all pink with a gold roof, just like the "Goldenes Dachl".

The balcony is the room of the queen Edelweiss .

I realized I had made a big forgetfulness in the old Delight Castle: the chimneys.

Where are the chimneys of all those fireplaces ?? They should have all died! XD
