New pag. 22 is finished!

And is online!  https://pleasurebonbon-next.com/comics/volume/1/page/22

This time I did a huge job. It takes many days to draw but above all to color, color is the most tiring part.

But it's also the design of the houses, and keeping in mind the proportions between people and buildings, you can't make people bigger than doors and windows, then the perspective...

But the most important thing for me was to create the atmosphere. How can I represent on one page something that is displayed in my head as a cartoon? So I created an overview of the city and many small scenes of background characters, and then I found a music.

During this work I listened to a lot of classical music to relax, especially Mozart. In fact, Mozart is Austrian and in Innsbruck, the city that inspired me, along with the Italian town of Moena, there are many references to Mozart. Oh, on a side note, I have always forgotten to say ... of the Bon Bonscalled "Mozart Bonbon" or "Mozart balls" XD that are delicious! How I would like to eat one during this job !!  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mozartkugel I ate them when I was in Austria and in Trentino Alto Adige, they are extraordinary bonbons!

Returning to the subject ... I listened to a lot of classical music during this work and I chose the BKG music for this scene that I invite you to listen to, especially if you are those who have access to the 300 DPI panel that I made available starting from the Gold Rewards , in which you will be able to see all the small scenes of life of the inhabitants! All the tiny details, in the dimension that I drawn them! See them all because I have committed myself to making every character interesting in some way ... alive, despite the size.

This panel is an exclusive for Patrons, because I never published a picture at 300 dpi.

The BKG music that I've chosen for the scene in which William arrives in the city is called Barocco and is a piece from the band Rondò Veneziano, directed and composed by maestro Gian Piero Reverberi (who is now 80 years old).

I've chosen a piece by Rondò Veneziano because it is classical but modern, because is composed and played in our era, so there is an anachronistic element exactly like my comic! PBB is a Victorian comic strip written and designed in modern times so and there are small anachronistic nuances and inventions, because it is a work of fantasy inspired by a time and an atmosphere of the past; exactly as Rondò Veneziano is, born in 1980 , inspired by classical music.

(if you want to know more about RV:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rond%C3%B2_Veneziano)

The song I've chosen, Barocco, is perfect for this scene, in fact I listened to it at least 10 times XD

My first suggestion is to listen to it with headphones, while you explore the page and imagine the situation that William sees around him! :)

At the beginning the music is quiet ... because Bon Bon seems a quiet place, at first sight, for the first minute you are relaxed and you enjoy the fresh morning air, the mountains and the landscape, then ... you arrive in main street and everything takes on a different rhythm, frenetic, cheerful,  stimulant thanks to the sound of the drums! Drums in a classic opera!? Yes, this is the cool thing, it's that touch of modernity, of rock, that I also put in PBB! ;)

Suddenly, William feels the drums in his heart! XD

Oh wow! OoO This...this is.....I'm lost for words, Vanessa! :'D This page is so outstanding that there's not enough compliments in this world to give to you for doing an outstanding job with this page! ^o^ This page captures the Bon Bon city so well! <3 I was blown away at how much detail you put in this page. O-O No wonder it took you so long. :O I gotta say....It was well worth the wait. :3 On a side note, thank you for sharing with us the Mozart Bonbon chocolates that you were able to eat in Austria, Vanessa. XD Now I'm craving for one right now. @-@ lol Also, I JUST finished listening to Barocco and it FITS so well with the page, Vanessa! O.O I can see why you listened to this song MANY times while drawing this page. ^-^ It feels like I'm there in the city with William. :D Not to mention the song also reminds me of JRPG town songs so that is a totally win in my book. ;3 Also when I went back to reading the page, the song ended when William saw those exposed bosoms. XD I think I know why William's heart is beating to the drums~ ;) As always, thank you so much for being able to create this page, Vanessa! (✿◠‿◠) This page is stunning!!! <3 <3 And I hope you had a really nice mental rest for the past week. :)

Dear Symphony every time I work on BKG my thoughts go to you, because i know that you like these things very much and you've always told me :D So, while I've working, I thought "I believe Symphony will like it!" ^-^ In this reboot I want to make more animal characters and not always the most handsome or popular ones, like felines, canids...but I want to vary, with tall and low characters, thin and round, not much familiar. But I can't easily draw monkeys in my comics ... I don't know why ... maybe they are too "humanized" for me!? But I love gorillas. So surely I'll make a gorilla! :D

Wonderful page! I love all the details and the colors :D I can't avoid comparing it to the pages from Bon Bon Legacy, where William arrived in town. I think that this new page looks much more natural than the old one. While there are some sexy outfits, there's nothing more sexual going on. It's just a lot of people and "everyday life in Bon Bon". I really like that. It's so nice to see couples simply walk around and do some window shopping. And the crocodile is awesome XD

Symphony

Thanks Todd, for your comments and encouragement! Now I really feel that this will be the best chapter I've ever drawn ^_^

I am very happy that you like it! I will rest today, but also doing something nice for the next update on Sunday! I still want to thank everyone for their patience with a new drawing! :)

I hope you're taking a short break after completing this page, because you sure deserve one. The little details are superb. The colours are so vibrant and so well chosen, not just on the buildings, but the people as well. I really get a sense of life in the scenes, people just going about their day. Wonderful, wonderful job.

Simply beautiful, Bon Bon looks amazing. As a fellow artist who struggles with drawing backgrounds and perspectives, i think you nailed it on the head, Vanessa. You know what they say about art, the more time you put into a piece, the more amazing the finished piece will become.
