Yes, she don't want to dirty the sheets and it also shows that she has a sense of modesty, after having done that, as if she were embarrassed to give herself pleasure alone. It's not a sin, it's more anembarrassment of not doing it in company, a sort of frustration, not blame. Actually Mary is insecure.
