Meet Caciotta The Rabbit

Some time ago they asked me if I wanted to make a commission, in Italy.

I don't usually take commissions, unless it's an interesting and useful job. And in fact the proposal is very interesting because they asked me to create the character design of a mascot for a book.

This book will be released only in Italy in all the bookstores and it is an illustrated encyclopedia of all the puppets in the history of television from the 50s to today (most of which are anthropomorphic characters) and the "fil rouge" of the book is a new, unpublished puppet. This puppet already exists, so it was up to me to do a drawing of Caciotta for the first time:

The ones you see above are the drawings they have approved on December 2017 but they are not those of the book because the authors and the editor liked it much more ... my new style of PBB-Next character bios ! LOL XD So they asked me in January 2019 ( they took a long time to think about it eh?) I redesigned Caciotta in three illustrations with the PBB style: same kind of inking and coloring, more similar to a cartoon effect! :D

But the nice thing is that I will be the author of the cover of the book!

Front and back ... and it's amazing to me, having the opportunity to sign the cover of a book for the first time! Book that will be sold and distributed in bookstores ... so WOW, in the end I managed to draw a cover! XD Before to become old!

You will be the first to see the final illustrations when I have permission, but even now these drawings are unpublished! I show them to you for the first time because I want to share with you my work.

I will deliver the artwork of the back of the book in a few hours, I'm almost done ! :D
