Upcoming changes to rewards
Added 2018-01-21 21:17:10 +0000 UTCThe current rewards (and prices) are not in line with the new reboot and website access. So, I decided to change them all to be in line with new website (and reducing prices).
This is what I have been decided as rewards:
$1 basic access to the site - no additional content respect to the free version of the site, but possibility to act on the site like bookmark, vote, favourite, etc
$4 128 DPI resolution - possibility to view the site content at 128 DPI (free version is 100 DPI)
$9 150 DPI resolution - possibility to view the site content at 150 DPI (free version is 100 DPI)
$13 work in progress & early access - access to WIP content regarding the upcoming comics and video game
$19 downloadable content - files to download and enjoy off-line
I’d like to know what do you think about this rewards before I put them in place on Patreon.
Also, pay attention that as soon the old rewards will be deleted and new added, you have to select again your pledge and associated reward.
From now on, we will upload the content on the website and you can login there using your Patreon account for view it. During the transition, we will open the website content regardless of your pledge to thank you for supporting me on this transition. Once all of you have chosen a new reward and the website start to become fully operative, the content will be accessible depending on your reward.

You are a great motivator for me! :D I'm thinking about how many readers did not have the chance to read PBBs because they were underage, or because they felt embarrassed to say that they loved this comic and share it. There were some people who wrote me this! You're not the only one who skipped the sex scenes LOL I hope to expand my fanbase with new readers who do not feel embarrassed to share the link of my site, to talk about PBB and maybe writing reviews ! :)

For example, something that makes me proud of my work, but nobody ever mentions, are the gags and the expressions of the characters that I love to do ^_^ Do not you think that those are worth a lot? During these 13 years R. has always taken half of my merits and half (according to him, I can't know the original reports ) of the money. And when I told him that I wanted to become independent because I did not like how he managed the site he told me that in PBB there was his merit, his hard work is behind the success of PBB. Well I disagree on this, call me arrogant for that, but from your words I know it's not true. The whole PBB story and the concept are mine, all my ideas , and R. ( a webmaster ) did not do anything to deserve half of the merits and gains from my copyrights forever and ever, even without me. Don't you think? Maybe one day I'll become the only owner and I will continue the original saga. But if I reach a goal enough to allow me to hire an artist I will commission short stories like porn expansions of this new saga, not to publish free but only give to the Patrons! :) Unfortunately I was naive and I trusted a person who never gave me the keys to the site and now I know why. I could not fire him and he could continue to own everything even without me... I don't know if for the law of USA it is legal, I believe that I would have had a contract. In any case what is important for me is continue in some way, drawing, tell you a story.

If the PBB site was mine and I no longer had R. as a boss I would have continued to make PBB as you all want and at half price! I believe you can not manage to get this situation. I hoped until the last month to take back the original PBB series all mine and work without R. I argued with him until last month for this, so during the time you were supporting me I struggled to get my rights back to work for you continuing the original saga. But R. told me that he is the one and only owner of PBB site and told me that I was a worker on hire for him and that he will never give me a penny of royalties. I can not continue the saga of PBB, because he would take it and put it on his site, and I can not do porn because I can not manage the risk. Yhe PBB site is protected by a system, by CCBILL, which controls customers and guaranteed security and protect the owner and the contents. Please do not feel robbed off by me, rather think that I was robbed for 13 years, exploited, and now I have nothing . Do you think it's easy for me to reboot PBB? I would have liked to have the PBB site and become the owner since all the stuff that he sell is mine, at least have royalties. I wish to be an independent artist. But to do that I'd have to sue him in court. I struggled until last month but I lost, he is the owner of PBB site. I'm sorry for disappointing you but I can not get control of the original series. I apologize, only know that I have done my best.

I'm not a fan of close-ups or pages after pages of random sex. I think there are many ways to include sexy situations without doing it in pornographic ways, and I'm curious to see which ones you'll put in the new comic.

The characters, the story, everything. Ha, maybe Drake may get another dance with Violet sometime in the future. You have my undying support and loyalty. If I could color and had the skills and right program I'd offer in a heartbeat, alas I do not, yet I say again I know I'll love it.

It makes no difference to me what the rating of this new take on the comic will be, whether it is NC 16 or NC 18, PBB will always be the same awesome comic that inspired me to become the artist i am today and will always have a special place in my heart.

My support over these months has been in the hopes that you would continue the hardocre erotica content of the comic. If I had know that this was the direction you were going to take the comic I wouldn't have bothered to waste my time and money. I will be withdrawing my support immediately as I am in no way interested in the direction you'll be taking the comic. I truly wish I hadn't flushed my money away supporting you.

The liberal and carefree sexual atmosphere and nature of BonBon, and attitude of its residents, is what first caught my attention. It's what drew me to BonBon. It was different and unique. I'm a strong believer that sex and sexuality is natural and not something to be shunned or hidden away, a very rare point of view seen in this world today. But BonBon seemed to embody this very concept. While a very attractive sight to see, for the ladies of BonBon to be able to bare themselves wilfully and without care, and to do just that, was about more than just sexual appeal. Today women who get raped are blamed for wearing clothes too revealing, for offering themselves simply by showing some cleavage. But in BonBon the women weren't just respected, they were revered. They wore their bodies proudly, like a masterpiece of art, and smiled as the men turned their heads to look, knowing that they had the control. The stories of porn are cliched and predictable, where sex is the ultimate goal of the narrative. But BonBon wasn't about sex; sex was merely a part of it, this wonderful world, locked inside a town, a world of pleasure and freedom to be who you are or want to be. This is a major part of what I liked about BonBon and its characters. Call me biased, but I feel that without it, PBBN will not stand out from the rest of the crowd surrounding it, that it will fall to being just another sexually restrained setting with a story. I'm not going to leave the Patreon or stop supporting BonBon, because I like the characters and am intrigued by the story. But I feel, now, like the icing has been torn off my cake. I no longer have any idea what to think of what is ahead, because I no longer feel like I know what is ahead. Had I known this when you were redesigning the logo I would not have pushed for the nipple to be kept, as I now feel it may be opposite of what you intend for the comic and its setting. Truth in fact, I no longer have any idea what you intend. So from now on I think I will keep quiet. What was and is now appear to be two very different things and I cannot offer advice or an opinion on something I know nothing of. I hope this new path works out for you.

Now let me copy the same I wrote to Silvador because are the same matters. I am pleased to note that you are surprised by the price drop. This is my honest thought = 1: to show you that in the past I have never benefited from $ 25 effective per month on Pleasure Bon Bon, but much less, so $ 25 FOR ME was too expensive (!), but were asked by R. to pay if himself and other people... 2: I think it is a better price for an independent webcomic NC 16 because a comic with a lower rating gives me the opportunity to have more public and pay. A porn comic has fewer customers, you know (and much of them do not like to pay anyway), and therefore requires a higher price to make up for the lack of customers. It is more exclusive and therefore more expensive. 3 the first updates of the pages will be in black and white, the color will be added after I have made a certain total number of pages, because as I said, drawing-inking-coloring no stop and restart again for me is very tiring ( a sort of loop) I do no have a colorist so at the end of a page my eyes hurt. So now I want to try a different process. Before bw version, then all colors version! This will allow me to respect a schedule plan and give you weekly ( pages + new colored character pin ups !) updates with new stuff! At a lower price. The old site of PBB demanded me more than I could did and I was no able to. So, a big price and less updates, made readers disappointed. Now, another question about NC 16. I ask you please be patient and wait to see what I will do before you worry. maybe you'll like it a lot and you will not be disappointed. Consider that in Japan the genre EKKI really likes and the Franco-Belgian comic book market is 99% in favor of the soft core NC 16 "bande dessinées" rather than porn. They like also furry but not porn, NC 16 is good. Do you know Blacksad of Juan Díaz Canales (writer) and Juanjo Guarnido (artist)? I met them both. I was in france at the comicon : Festival international de la bande dessinée d'Angoulême. I shown PBB to ALL the erotic editors. They ALL told me that it was "tres tres érotique! Genre pornographique." and they never will publish the first PBB since European readers prefer erotic soft core, better if it is humoristic. I know it will not be easy to get used to not seeing the genitals in PBB, but you will still have good feelings and you will find nudity and sexy situations. Give me a chance ;)

I too noticed the NC-16 but, Bon Bon lives and be there sweet romantic Erotica or risqué romance I am at the edge of my seat =D

My only issues with it thus far are the very noticeable lines between the images of the cover (I'm assuming that's being worked on?) and the colours of the title on the page seem to be a bit on the artefacted side, more noticeable on the lower DPI options. Will whole pages be released at all? I also noticed the "NC 16"; is the rating of the comic being reduced? I know you wanted to cut out the random sex scenes that had no real place in the story, but... I'll be very, very, VERY sad to see this world turn from an erotic setting to... mere risqué. :(
