It's not like she committed murder or something. Teenagers' brains let alone pre-teens are nowhere near being full developed, and while the whole Dippy Fresh thing wasn't cool it honestly seems very on brand and unsurprising for a hurt 12 y/o to deal with some of their hurt feelings immaturely at times, plus keeping in mind that she's also under Bill's influence as some other commenters have pointed out

2022-05-30 22:00:54 +0000 UTCI think you are forgetting the fact Mabel was thinking this while her feelings were hurt, and that this illusion was made with Bill's influence, she even commented on that the song that played on loop in Mabeland was annoying- that she couldn't believe she was constantly listening to it once she broke free. She's selfish, yeah but she DOES care about Dipper and what he does for her. If that wasn't the case, Sock Opera wouldn't have gone the way it did. I think the hate towards Mabel is entirely undeserved, especially when in comparison, people love Stan. Stan made a mistake that ruined his brothers dreams, completely by accident of course. But he still did that, he still went into the school while upset, he doesn't even properly apologize for it in the flashback. Are you going to claim Stan doesn't care about his brother when he got angry and tried to burn the books? If you blame Mabel for falling prey to Bill when she was at her most vulnerable also, we should blame Dipper for doing the same thing when he was sleep deprived. In short, their kids and Mabel had been hurt emotionally. Small problem or not, she's a child and Bill took advantage of that hurt.

And dippy fresh basically made me hate Mabel, mostly because of the line "with a more supportive attitude". Dude sacrificed so much for her and she just doesn't care. Sorry if I offended anyone who likes Mabel, but at this point, the 12-year-old excuse just doesn't cut it anymore.
