The creator was trolling us. BILL still lives. watch this video by The Film
Theorists. It will change your view on the ending if you haven't already
watched it.

Also if you are a real conspiracy-minded person like me, I interpreted
that last scene of stone petrified Bill in a live action world that now
Bill is focusing his one eye on our world, our dimension. He is watching
us. lol
EDIT: After watching The Film Theorists video, the stone Bill statue is a real
thing in the U.S. apparently and fans have to find it like a treasure hunt

The reason there’s only one set of ciphers for weirdmageddon 3 and 4 is cause when it originally aired, they were one long ep and it was only a 3 parter. Disney+ split the last ep into parts 3 and 4, the ciphers you read were actually the ones for the end of the entire series. Loved the Gravity Falls reactions!

A lot of the suggestions I have are ones that I have seen already commented. Bungou stray dogs is a really good show three seasons. And on HBO there's a live action TV show called His Dark Materials that's good its based off a book trilogy by the same name

SO, I am late to the party I know, but now that gravity falls is wrapped up those are my suggestions for similar shows that I think you might enjoy: 1) "Avatar the last Airbender", this would be a good choice for a long term series since it has 61 episodes, but I think anyone that watched it can recommend it with open arms, it's just sooo good, the world-building and the characters are always gonna have a place in my heart, and the anime convention cosplays of that time say something, it was hugely popular and still a gem. It has a sequel "Avatar the legend of Korra" and it has a good first season but it goes in strange directions after its second season, most fans agree that it's a mixed bag and that the Last Airbender is the best part of the show. 2) "Infinity train" this is a series that unfortunately got cancelled after its 4th season, but it does change protagonists every season so even if there is a connected storyline between them it doesn't hurt as much, every season by itself has a satisfying conclusion. Even if the show had only 4 out of the planned 8 seasons (or books like the creator called them) it still has amazing content and I truly recommend it since I know you would love it especially, it deals with some dark topics and discovery of the characters flaws and growth, it is above the standards cartoon network has by a long shot, for me personally, this is the gravity falls of CN, there are jokes and I love them but some dark scenes too. Honestly, this is the one I recommend the most I think you guys would love it a lot, and there's probably gonna be some tears. 3) "over the garden wall" is one of the best stories to come out of cartoon network, it's very short with only 10 ep and closed perfectly, I am not really a reviewer so I don't know how to describe it well but it has a nice atmosphere and art style, it comes unexpected considering the CN of today but this show is very creative.

"Over the Garden Wall" is a show often recommended to those that loved Gravity Falls. It is very short, only 10 episodes, so easy to get through.

I told you this in the previous post but please watch Steven Universe, it's not a short show at all but it's absolutely worth it and you won't be dissatisfyed. The 1st 24 episodes are the weak link but that's because the show creator had to make sure the show wouldn't be canceled due to its serious themes and etc. The episodes are 11 minutes long so it won't be hard to get through it.

Since you guys enjoyed Gravity Falls, you might enjoy watching Twin Peaks, a tv series from the early 90's that Alex Hirsch has said was one of the major inspirations for Gravity Falls. It was created by David Lynch so it's very weird, but it's a fun watch.

Yeah, so -- when this first aired, it aired both 20 and 21 together as one 40 minute episode. That's why the lists of ciphers are wacky. But Disney dictated that the 40 minute ep had to be able to be broken into 2 eps for later broadcast. (Which is why, where you're watching it, they've got them as 2 separate eps.)
I hope you guy will maybe do a livestream of you all looking through the Journal? Because it's lots of fun and does contain a lot of new info!
You guys should also know -- there is a DVD / Bluray collection of the series (Alex Hirsch badgered Disney until they agreed to allow it). It has a ton of bonus features, that you guys might really like. It has commentaries for every episode (Alex Hirsch, plus a rotating group of people, sometimes ones who worked on the eps, other producers, and sometimes voice actors Kristen Schaal and Jason Ritter), it has a couple of documentaries, deleted scenes, and stuff like that.
In particular, you guys should track down the documentary "One Crazy Summer", which has a segment that talks about The Cipher Hunt. You noticed what looked like a photo that flashed at the end of the credits, of the Bill Cipher statue -- that *is* a photograph. They made a real life-sized statue (well, "life-sized" as Bill appears in that scene, so about 4 feet tall without the hat, I guess?), and Alex hid it in a secret location. Then he planted encrypted clues in various places around the world (one in Russia, one in Japan, and others in locations across the U.S.). Each clue, when found and decoded, hinted where the next one would be found, until it finally pointed to where the statue could be found in real life. The finale aired in February of 2016, and in July of 2016, Alex dropped the first clue on Twitter, sending fans worldwide on a literal Cipher Hunt. It played out over several weeks, and was a hell of an experience to be involved in at the time! My point is -- that documentary on the DVD/Bluray set has a segment about the Cipher Hunt, which is probably the best way now to get an overview of what it was like.
Definitely do yourselves a favor, and get that Bluray set!
Finally -- thanks so much for this journey, you guys. It's been super fun following along with your reactions, and really touching to see how much you loved the show. It really is something special. Looking forward to keep on following along with you on The Owl House, and Amphibia!

First, wonderful reactions! I really enjoyed your thoughts on the series as you were watching. For some good series to watch and react to: Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts is a wonderfully creative series that integrates music in a really fun way too. The Hollow is also pretty interesting, with the second season being really good, and is a bit under watched, imo. There is also She-ra too. That's always a fun series to react to, with some great characters, worldbuilding, and interesting themes.

One humble suggestion: Infinity train, it is amazing, has similar vibes, to OH and GF but deals with heavier topics, and is an anthology so it's also a JoJo's reference!

You should react to this. It's fan made, but looks incredible. Someone made an opening if they made a spin off of Stan and Ford going on adventures using the gravity falls theme. https://youtu.be/stASqnKzn3s

Your reaction was so great. Fun Fact, in the credits, you can see Dipper clones 3 and 4 (the two that stole Robbie's bike) are still alive and camping out. Also, yes, parts 3 and 4 originally aired as one hour-long part. It wasn't until reruns that it got separated into 2 and part 4 was given that recap by Soos.
Also, legitimately, another reaction recommendation would be Steven Universe. It came out about the same time as Gravity Falls and was often paired with it, with GF being "The Thinker's Show" and SU being "The Feeler's Show."

Bill Cipher’s statue was the object of a world wide scavenger hunt that Alex Hirsch arranged for the fandom at the close of the series. It spanned over the course of a few months if I remember. Ciphers were left in real world places that eventually led to the pinpoint location of the statue, and the first person to find it received a treasure chest of prizes!

at the end of the episode u saw a statue of bill and the Statue of Bill Cipher was found in a forest in Reedsport, Oregon. It was later removed and temporarily placed at Reedsport's Bicentennial Park, before being permanently relocated to Confusion Hill in Piercy, California.
