Well, I don't know too much about the HP franchise, but looking around the internet I found that each division of the school has its own way to insult others with words like "Nitwit", "Blubber", "Oddment" and "Tweak". If I got it right, oddment means something like "impurity" and its used by the snake guys to offend others.
