Still... he might've been a bit impulsive and in some cases emotional but not incompetent. Batista wasn't just some run on a mill "beat cop". He was a Captain with 30+ years experience in the force. For him to just lose his shit, throw caution to the wind and go after Dexter when he clearly knew he had others to worry about...is pretty flimsy and forced. The writers should've taken more time to pick a better death scenario than this quite honestly. Other than that, the series has been great so far!!!

2025-09-01 17:32:45 +0000 UTCI thought this was the best way to handle his death. I like Angel, but he was never the best cop. He always acted based on his emotions, and he was impulsive. It makes perfect sense why he did everything he did. It’s sad, but if I have to choose between Dexter and Batista, I’m sorry Batista, but I have to choose Dexter. He’s my favorite character along with Harrison, lol.

2025-09-01 17:17:49 +0000 UTCWe lost an Angel. My heart truly can't process Angel's death. It's so sad. I was hoping Angel and Dexter would team up for the moment and then kind of have a heart to heart or something. But nope. Angel died hating Dexter and it just crushed my soul.
