Anime Movies Recommendations
Added 2025-04-13 16:10:24 +0000 UTCWe're wanting to knock out a few anime movies. They will likely be Patreon exclusives because I've heard horror stories about anime reaction movies on YouTube. Positive side is that I can include more of the movies that I upload to Patreon.
I'll likely keep it in the studio ghibli arena to slowly introduce Jen to that medium, but I'm open to other studio anime films.
I was thinking of starting with the usual Spirited Away, but I'm not opposed to starting elsewhere. Let me know what you think!

Don’t know if you’re still looking at comments on this but just wanted to say- it’s totally okay to watch the English dub of an animated or Ghibli film and I don’t think people would react like Squid Game With Squid Game the dub takes away from the experience because 1) the dub is complete trash for the first season, maybe the 2nd I have no clue 2) Live action is much more difficult because it’s so incredibly apparent the voices don’t move with the mouths or always have the same sense of emotion, to me it’s a vital part of the performance (whereas in animation you’re just hearing a different performance) I’ve watched my hero academia both dubbed and original and felt no difference, one punch man was the only anime I thought the dub was significantly worse. TLDR: WATCH THE DUB for Ghibli movies, they have amazing voice casts.
