When it comes to Gundam IP i think it was more of we just want to be a part of this then being Financial money grab plus it would give The Gundam IP a Free Taste of what the Gundam would/could look like with the Visual Effects that was used in Ready Payer One Film to maybe use the Very same Effects Team/Program in maybe doing a Future Live Action "Gundam" Film or Series down the road.
