Hey thanks a lot! We'll be starting season 2 this week!

Holden Hardman

this is one of my favorite shows of all time and i've watched many reactors react to it but have been waiting for you two as one of my favorites and also excited to see a Holden first time viewing. got the Patrion just for this and can't wait for Season 2! thanks for all you do!

Imagine Dragons have made music for League of Legends before. "Enemy" was made for Arcane.

Also it’s not so much that Silco “sees an opportunity” in Powder/Jinx in episode 3. But he sees himself in her (no Holden not like that lol) of how his “brother” (Vander) tried to kill him and left him, he can relate to Powder in that moment. Having been seemingly abandoned by her sister after being physical and verbally assaulted. They become very similar. Silco is one of the best and most complex characters in this show and he’s such a joy to watch because of it. Also pay attention to some of the items on Silcos desk next time it’s on screen. It’s cluttered with Little Knick knacks that were made or painted by Jinx. Like how a father will use his child’s clay mug to drink coffee. Or art on the fridge. Some small subtitle storytelling to really show you that Jinx means a lot more to him than most people think at first.

Sivika is basically the Rhea Ripley of Arcane. Mami.

You guys should watch Bridging the Rift, a documentary series for Arcane season 1, available on youtube. It's unfortunate they didn't make one for season 2 because not a lot of people have seen it but in my opinion it is one of the best documentaries that I have watched. You don't have to react to it; watch the series at your own convenience for all I care, it's just something that I don't want people who watch Arcane to miss out on.

More factoids for you, there is a 5 part documentary series that released after season 1 (entirely on YouTube) called "Arcane: Bridging The Rift" that dives into everything they were doing to make this a reality, it would be fantastic if you two were to react to that as well for us Patrons, but obviously not required. 😊 Similarly, not required, but if it wasn't said before to you it would REALLY be best to watch/react to the Enemy music video (in the same art style as Arcane) by Imagine Dragons -before- you watch Season 1 Episode 7. It gives a little more backstory into some of the characters that you wouldn't know otherwise.

The guy playing the violin looking contraption is heavily inspired by a real violinist named Ray Chen, who helped write and perform some songs for Arcane S1 and S2, and one of my favorites in the season 1 finale. He is probably top 5 violinist in the world today!

Dylan Brodie

You guys taught me something I didn't know! Incredible that was made for Arcane, I had no idea

Holden Hardman

imagine dragons wrote "Enemy" for Arcane, the songs in these show were really made for it, Riot does that alot for the Champions in League of Legends, they use the songs to tell the stories of their characters

Love that you and Jen both noticed how the animation looks like a painting--in fact the Fortiche animators (who were the studio that worked on Arcane S1 & S2) basically handpainted all of the animations + the backgrounds that you see in the entire show! So yes, it's actually a painting because it was all painted by the animators!

The songs aren’t licensed. The imagine dragons song “enemy” main title theme as well as being shown in this episode was made by Imagine Dragons specifically for this series. It’s not a licensed song.

Jason Jeffory

The Enemy music video is worth a watch imo, even if you don’t react to it, idk how “canon” it is but it def includes some neat characterization for the show. And yeah those characters Holden mentioned are designed to be based off of Imagine Dragons lol.

Elijah

This is definitely one of my favorite episodes in the series, the fight scene between vi and sevika hits so hard each time i watch it, also i love that you point out that you can’t quite grasp the motivations of a lot of the characters, especially mel, they’re all very nuanced and don’t necessarily align with good or bad

Lys

"Councilor" "French vanilla in the coffee" the stuff Holden says and the faces Jen makes, I can't stop laughing lol. The animation in Arcane reminds me of the animation in AOT, both are very visually pleasing. The animation in Transformers: One is really beautiful too, it also has a similar plot to Arcane, with the whole family to enemies plot, so I hope you guys react to Transformers: One soon.

Timothy Mills

It's $250 million for BOTH seasons combined. So they basically made 6 movies (6 arcs of 3 episodes) for less than a typical Hollywood *cough* Disney/Marvel *cough* movie. Also Caitlin and Jinx look nothing alike, you tripping.

Christopher Struthers

If you think the animation is impressive in season 1, they raise the bar even higher in season 2!
