2024-12-29 18:00:39 +0000 UTCI have the same concern you mentioned about this show having Dexter grow as a character when that wouldn’t make sense given where he is in Season 1 of the original. This might seem like a strange comparison, but I see a parallel with the show Young Sheldon (The Big Bang Theory’s Prequel). Sheldon grows quite a bit as a character throughout the original so fans (myself included) were worried that growth in a prequel wouldn’t make sense. Without spoiling it, this was explained by a major event at the very end of the series which caused Sheldon to lose much of the growth he had since he didn’t know how to cope. For Dexter, I could see the writers doing a similar story where he grows quite a bit as a character, only for him to lose that growth once his dad dies, giving us the Dexter we see in Season 1.

2024-11-28 05:30:43 +0000 UTCI've never really cared for prequel series cause eventually they do get messy with continuity. Young Sheldon for example. I remember in TBBT Sheldon's mom said he did such and such at this age, but then in Young Sheldon he's doing at a different age, but I suppose that's just a nitpick. Either way I'll be watching Original Sin too and I let's pray it's ending isn't messy lol.
