In this scenario, Lex Luthor sets a cunning trap for the Girl of Steel, claiming to possess a lethal pathogen that he threatens to release on downtown Metropolis. Supergirl, determined to save the city, confronts Lex and demands he hand over the virus. But Lex, ever the mastermind, reveals there is no pathogen—it was all an elaborate ploy! To make matters worse, he unveils a kryptonite necklace, using it to weaken the heroic and beautiful Supergirl as his trap springs shut.
