When it comes to buying players in Ultimate Team, I’ll admit I’m a bit lazy, but I’ve found a method that works efficiently. Let’s say I need to buy a player like Jurrien Timber. Normally, I’d check his price on a site like FUTBIN or something similar. For example, if FUTBIN says Timber’s price is around 1,000 coins, I’d set the Max Buy Now price accordingly and try to get the best deal.
If I really want to be smart about it, I’ll look for a version of Timber with a chemistry style like a Shadow or Hunter. This way, I get added value since the chemistry style alone can cost up to 5K coins. I could potentially buy Timber with a Shadow already applied for a slightly higher price, but it would still save me coins in the long run and even sell later for profit.
For bigger players like Koundé (in this example I use), whose price can be around 100K at the time the game came out, I could also try to find his lowest price by bidding or refreshing the market. While bidding might save a few coins, I personally don’t bother too much with it. If you’re in a rush, simply looking at the Buy Now value and getting the lowest available card is fine.
For example, if I’m building a squad and need to buy Todibo, I’ll look up his lowest price, which might be around 2.4K, and try to grab one with a good chemistry style. If someone’s already bidding lower, you could snipe the card for less and save a bit of money.
Honestly, my process is all about efficiency. I’ll check the price, maybe refresh a couple of times, but if I don’t get a better deal, I’ll just pay a little extra. It’s a quick way to build a team without spending hours on the transfer market. Sure, it’s a bit lazy, but it’s effective for getting the job done without wasting time.
