FUT Champions / Weekend League Cheat Sheet

This is just a draft version that I am working on, please forgive the typos these will be fixed, but I thought it may be worth sharing it and then seeing how you guys are finding using it so far, then I can release the final one, please leave all feedback or even any other tips below!

Rank 1/FUT CHAMPS Cheat Sheet

Optimum Weekend League 20 Games split: Friday (6), Saturday (7), Sunday (7)

Remember, even if you only get 6 wins, and lose all your remaining games, you will still get a 100k jumbo rare player pack and a good chance of packing someone good, so it’s not the end of the world! The key is it’s a marathon, not a sprint to rush all your games.

BEFORE THE GAME

- Make sure your tactics are updated and tested before you jump into a game

- Play a RIVALS game ideally before a champs game so you can warm up

- Make sure you are calm, if you are frustrated from before take a break, ideally at least a 30 minute break (I understand that you may want to keep playing etc because of time but try to prolong this is long as possible

- Remember to not panic, keep the ball safe, take a touch away and be calm, frustration is the easiest way to lose, you cant rush you have to play slow this year

HALF TIME

- Don’t spam X/A, use the full timer, take a sip of water, relax

- Remain calm, don’t worry about stats too much, you can see if your opponent has more possession but ignore the rest, you can glance at pass accuracy and possession to see how the game is going, but this is not important

- Check your opponent’s line up, what subs do they have – what formation are they playing right now, can you identify any weak points you can try to attack i.e. players?

- Heat map can be useful to see where your opponent repeatedly attacks

- Get ready for the second half a few second before, expect a kick off glitch

DURING THE GAME – CONCEDED

- Don’t get angered by the celebration, look away, take a sip of water, if you find that you are really frustrated pause the game again and take more time

- The more calm you are the better chance for a come back you have

- Don’t get forced into holding the run button, or rushing your play this will only have negative effects

- Don’t panic, you only need to score one more, but be aware of the time, are you losing 1-0m after 20 minutes, don’t change your formation right away! Let it play for a bit see if you are creating chances then change, don’t just change because you are 1-0 down

- Only if you are losing 2-0, and it’s the second half then consider a pressing formation

- Prepare for next half

DURING THE GAME – SCORED

- Remain calm, you scored but it dosent mean its won, if you are in the second half of the game consider putting some players on come back on defence

- Your opponent naturally is going to be more attacking, the tide of the game is not going “change” due to DDA, its because you are naturally going to sit back and your opponent is going to attack more as they have nothing to lose

- If you are under pressure get ready to use hug the sidelines, look at the radar remain calm

-

AFTER THE GAME

- Don’t skip the goals, watch them back in the highlights, what mistake did you make, or did you really get unlucky, and even if you did how could you prevented it earlier

- Look back and analyse this and any other clips captured in the game and ask yourself, “am I doing what Neal tells me to do in the videos?” if you are not sure, watch the videos

- Did you lose? This is now the time to take a break, the worst thing to do is play frustrated, if you really need a longer break take one, don’t play angry, or just play in a few hours time, objectively look back at the gameplay and always see your flaws, don’t blame the game as many do, always ask “how could I avoided this situation or the game for even screwing me over”

- Did you win?  Till take a break consider is it worth playing on, yes, you may have won, but did you win because the opponent was not as good as you, did you not do the basics as well, but got away with it because your opponent was not that good?
Have a look also at your gameplay, many people win without the basics, this is due to the fact that someone is not as good as them, but once you face someone who’s on the same level if you played the same way you will lose, so remember just because you won does not mean you are doing everything “correctly”

Amazing

Great content will apply it from now onwards. I always got 8-9 wins after that a long loosing streak playing in anger and frustration could be the reason also not watching back the games which I won.
