2023-05-10 19:16:20 +0000 UTCThis movie was always my perfect 'superhero' movie growing up. Not comic book movie, but uplifting good triumphing over evil, super hero especially superman movie. Everyone else I knew hated it, but I always loved it.

Dad!Supes is my favorite Supes, and Tyler Hoechlin's a great Superman in general, imo. He captures some of that Reeve spirit without ever doing a full-on impression/imitation.

Wonder who Batman would've been in the Superman 78 universe, Personally my head canon is a young Kevin Conroy. The Superman 78 comics make nods to Gotham and Bruce Wayne as well. I know this doesn't really count as a Superman movie but The Batman Superman Movie: World's Finest may be my favourite Superman film. It's a home video release of the World's Finest parts I,II and III episodes of Superman: The Animated Series so it's kind of like what they did with The Clone Wars movie just so much better. Also I think Jen would really like Super Pets as a film, Surprised me with how much I enjoyed it. Superman Returns is a mix bag for me just elements I love and elements I don't but the animated Superman stuff are amazing if you ever want to dive into them. Alot of them are solo while stuff like World's Finest is connected to the DC Animated Universe and then you have the DC Animated Movie Universe based on the New 52 with a good amount of fun Superman movies even if that universe is hit or miss with it's films.
