The next Patreon exclusive Poll
Added 2023-04-09 21:05:30 +0000 UTCAs of making this poll, Jen and I have finished all of Rebels! We binged the last 5 episodes so we could react to the new Ahsoka trailer (which I'll be posting here soon).
We took suggestions for a previous Patreon post asking for your recommendations and are putting them together. We only want a handful of options so as to not spread the votes too thin, so apologies if your suggestions isn't on here, but here are some of the most requested shows.
And bear in mind, we might be watching some of the other suggestions publicly, like Andor.
Happy voting and Happy Easter!

Arcane is a good short stint to watch. Attack on Titan in SUBS should come right after as a longer investment. I think I'd really like to see Holden's take on some of the moralities and philosophies of that world, as I've seen mixed reactions to this, but as long as they're able to understand that some of the convictions in that show are flawed by design, not by "preference" from the author, then I really wanna see what their take is on it, especially considering Holden's beliefs too :😊 and even more especially that Jen reaaaaaaaaaally likes dark stuff and flawed characters. That's right up both of your allies for different (and also overlapping) reasons!

2023-04-14 02:13:34 +0000 UTCI think them knowing where and how to end it is a good thing. That means they have a plan ( khm sequels ) and a route to get there. I'm sure we will not be disappointed, the animated stuff tends to be the best kind of SW content lol. Filoni said on the celebrations that Tales of the Jedi gets another season ( excellent news, it was outstanding ) and he will keep on making animated shows to 1. keep Lucasfilm animations alive and 2. to train the new people who are passionate and interested to learn this just like George taught him. Here is a timestamp for the Clone Wars panel on celebrations last week. BTW I highly recommend watching the entire panel because it was hilarious, touching, and very entertaining. Filoni is my guy I respect the hell out of him for everything he did for us. https://youtu.be/Qi-b2c0RY7I?t=23832

2023-04-11 06:27:36 +0000 UTCIn overall I am happy with Season 2, the stakes were raised, it got darker ( a LOT darker ) and it has a lot of character development for the little one. The ending was gripping and it went places I thought it wouldn't which I liked a lot. And I really can't praise Kevin Kiner enough for his work. The music on this show is of the highest quality there were a few scenes where I was paying more attention to the music than the screen and had to rewind back and its not like it was obtrusive or too loud, but it was so eerie yet outstanding I was completely taken aback by it.

2023-04-11 06:20:42 +0000 UTC@Anthony CW Season 7 is some of the best Star Wars ( and TV ) ever released, something the series was building towards for 7 seasons you cant expect that kind of storytelling and payoff all the time, its borderline impossible.

2023-04-11 06:14:59 +0000 UTCAOT is a next level anime. But when I compare it to Star Wars properties, I see them as two completely different flavors. Maybe I feel that way because once in a while, I binge anime, then go off it for months.

2023-04-10 23:23:03 +0000 UTCOh my! That’s ok though. Having an ending guarantees character growth and a complete story. I hope Dave Filoni will keep making animated Star Wars. I feel like they can keep the animated stuff going indefinitely. Also, live action is great, but animation frees you to do more with the story.

2023-04-10 23:19:23 +0000 UTComg you absolutely need to watch death note but you EXTRA need to watch attack on titan that show is next-level fantastic and i think you would both love it
2023-04-10 20:02:28 +0000 UTCBad Batch would be the logical choice considering y'all recently watching Clone Wars and Rebels, and the future of the "Mandoverse." That being said I voted for Attack on Titan because it is miles better than Bad Batch.

2023-04-10 19:24:40 +0000 UTCI think jen would love AOT given how dark it is
2023-04-10 17:04:40 +0000 UTCOkay so it's now been confirmed that Bad Batch Season 3 will be the final season. So could be cool to do reactions to the first 2 seasons and then watch along with us when that airs

2023-04-10 15:45:36 +0000 UTCI'm rewatching Prison Break and it's 22 episodes all an hour long, taking ages. That's only 5 Seasons... couldn't imagine 15 🤣

2023-04-10 15:36:12 +0000 UTCI think Season 1s filler and 2s are very different. 2s were all set ups to something or a theme that will come back later... except episode 10 🤮. Apart from that Season 2 is a 7.5/10 almost great but just missed it, I think if you know who was in it more it would get bumped up but I'll take quality over quantity for that character anyday

2023-04-10 15:35:07 +0000 UTCBoth seasons were mainly filler with good episodes here and there imo. and the best episodes were usually the ones with you know who as the focus.

2023-04-10 14:58:23 +0000 UTCYea, 15 seasons of it too, 327 episodes in total. :D I do love Supernatural but I really wouldn't force anyone to watch, react to, and edit all that. Plus, as much as I love the show, a lot of those 327 episodes reeeaaally weren't great. :D

2023-04-10 13:02:37 +0000 UTCHuh, interesting. I feel the exact opposite - S2 felt veeery underwhelming to me, most of the episodes were filler and didn't feel nearly as important or mature as I expected. The ending of S1 was awesome and dark, and then... 10+ episodes of childish filler with just 3-4 good episodes in S2.

2023-04-10 13:00:03 +0000 UTCSeason 2 was much better than season 1. Not that I didn’t like season 1, but it fell a little short of the extremely strong closing of Clone Wars.

2023-04-10 12:17:53 +0000 UTCI’m a fan of all the suggestions, but I say keep the Star Wars theme going. With that said, seems like Supernatural while a good show, would be difficult to react to. 24 episodes per season I think.

2023-04-10 12:15:41 +0000 UTCI'd say, Bad Batch, it's just the natural progression from Rebels. It gets really good and the animation/music is amazing. Season 2 just wrapped so would not take too long and I have to say I really enjoy it, it gets really dark and mature.

2023-04-10 09:15:27 +0000 UTCSupernatural is the perfect series all the twist and turns

2023-04-10 06:07:32 +0000 UTCNo Arcane? No Legend of Vox Machina? They are both phenomenal, incredibly popular, and new. I hope you watch them publicly, I'm certain you'll like both of them more than most of these shows. Bad Batch will obviously win here even though it's a little meh. Still worth a watch tho, gotta keep up with that lore... :)

2023-04-10 04:44:20 +0000 UTCY’all Attack on Titan! 🔥 ps: I didn’t see this poll before adding that AOT note on the Superman poll 😂
