(Early Access) The Mandalorian S03 E06

my point is that you are looking to deep into it. its a show. using an item that is spread across at least 2 different shows. so if this particular show decides that the rules around an item work a particular way. then thats how it works for the show.

Mate these are questions the show should answer and explain not me... like you bringing up Maul being beaten after beating visla just adds to my point that technically Sidous should be the ruler as he beats Maul in the next episode.... how do the rules of the blade work? Well however the writer wants them too. You aren't bringing up good points you are just proving that there are no rules so anyone can just Ambush Bo and rule Mandalor

Dawson

if you want to go by that logic, it could then belong to anyone. since maul got his ass kicked by almost everyone. and just how do you decide who the "winner" is? does maul "or whoever" have to be bloody and beaten on the ground unable to stand? are they held captive by the challengers people. is it a fight to the death? does it count as losing if maul flee's from the fight? trying to rules lawyer around a made up item in a made up universe is almost impossible unless you can account for EVERY second of the items existence "chain of custody" which you cant with the dark saber because there is years upon years that we have no idea about its whereabouts or ownership.

I think it's a bit too late Jacob cause we still had 6 episodes of nothing...

Dawson

Ah!!! Very good 👏👏👏

Dawson

The Man with the Delorean is in the Mandalorian.

Povenmire

How does the Darksaber work? Because I thought you had to challenge someone for it not just beat them in general combat. If just beating them makes you the rightful ruler of Mandalor Obi-Wan would rule cause he beat Visla in Season 2 of Clone Wars. The only character that challenged won through Mandalorian tradition is Maul(not a Mandalorian btw). Sabine did get challenged and win but she just stole it of Maul so didn't earn it... by the logic of new Canon I could shoot Bo Katan from orbit and be the ruler of Mandalor

Dawson

Christopher's character was hilariously bad, "everyone freeze"... no one was moving? He was talking shit to Jack Black then instantly is like "I regret everything, forgive me" like... okay

Dawson

Okay... here we go, papa Dawson here to complain about Nerdy shit again. Let's breakdown why this episode was Horrible, first of all the directing was great, Brice proves she is a great director again, no issues with that. If this was episode 2 or 3 it would still be terrible. Din was actively shown why he has the leadership qualities required to lead. He is diplomatic but also tuff enough to get shit done but Bo is the leader? The Cameos... this is not the MCU, Jack Black and lisso aren't playing characters they are playing themselves in star wars, it's distracting. Blacks character was elected by a democratic system but the villains main reason for hating him was that he wasn't elected through democratic means... but he was? Grodu, isn't a character. He is a prop, idk who he is, what he wants, all I know is he is cute and loves eating shit. We have 2 episodes left if you are enjoying this show fair enough but this isn't Clone Wars that had 22 episodes, it could have filler. This season has been terrible, an example of sheer pandering to fans with consistent Cameos and a Writing disaster

Dawson

I have actually like the season as a whole and hated this episode. It was like a weird fever dream that ended with Din just giving the Darksaber to Bo like he tried to do last season.

While I liked this episode, this season as a whole has been really treading water. Feels like Star Wars and Marvel fatigue is setting in, at least for me. I'm tired of the same stuff we seem to be getting from Disney over and over again and I think we really need a big shake up. There's probably a reason why I thought Andor was the best project of the last year; because it took a sudden departure from the norm.

I hate to be negative, but this episode made me sad. We only have two episodes left in the season and this is what we got for a story. Jon Favreau seems like a great person, but he needs to be more collaborative when it comes to writing because this episode just did not work for me personally. This episode felt like a weird fever dream. I'm glad for those that liked it, but man, this season really has been kind of disappointing to watch. I hope the two final episodes end off the season on a high note, but honestly, at this point, I've kind of lost all hope that that is even possible. We'll see though. I hope I'm wrong.

Fun fact! (Spiderman) Tom Holland’s little brother, Harry Holland was the Mon Calamari star crossed lover!

Chris Moranec

Also I. Getting a bit tired of all the cameos. Not every episode needs a guest star. Especially in this episode when we had 3. I don't need or want everything to be dark like Andor, but I do want the same quality of writing. At the end of the day I'm happy that we're getting star wars and these episodes are enjoyable. I guess I just wished the story was tied together a bit better. But my opinion could absolutely change once the season is over and I'm able to look at all 8 episodes as a whole.

That's my whole thing. As an episode I like it. Except how the Mando stuff was just thrown in at the end. Like that deserved to be a way bigger moment. Also why didn't Din give her the dark saber before this if he had come up with that reasoning? Anyway yeah I just don't like this type of episode when it's an 8 episode season. When you only have 8, 30ish minute episodes (after intro and credits) you can't afford having filler. I still have no idea where this season is headed. And not in a good way like they're keeping us on our toes. Again I like all these episodes, just not the season if that makes sense.

This 100% something George Lucas would've done for an episode of Clone Wars that over the top wacky side of the galaxy that almost felt like something from the Judge Dredd comics. Fun fact Lucas favourite Clone Wars story arc is the Droid arc so he's very much a fan of the odd and wacky stuff not to mentioning episodes with droids. This episode was weird and wacky, elements I personally like in Star Wars but I know there's fans who want everything to be gritty and dark all the time. Mixture of both is welcomed. Only problem I have is the weird placement for an episode like this would've fit better early in a season like Episode 2 or 3 with so I understand people being negative on that but I personally didn't mind the episode itself. Two episodes to go. Imagine if they're an hour each that would really make up for everything lol

Jedi Mandalore (Dylan)

This is the way.
