2023-02-26 04:49:02 +0000 UTCThomas Jane is still my personal favourite Punisher, Thomas Jane returned for the amazing Punisher game as well which had a few scenes from the movie like the Russian fight scene (Set in New York instead) but everything else was inspired by Garth Ennis's Punisher comics who even wrote the story of the game. The game even had cameos of other Marvel hero's so it was really cool to hear Thomas Jane interact with other Marvel characters something I would love to see in the MCU like a Punisher and Nick Fury team up maybe helping War Machine in Armoured Wars or who knows imagine Frank in Secret Invasion. The one thing that took a while to get used to is the Florida setting. It was interesting change from New York City to Florida along with the whole family getting gunned down which in the comics happened in Central Park with his wife and daughter rather than his whole family and extended family. But yeah overall I do really like this film and for me I like to think that this film happens in the Rami verse simply because of Thomas Jane's stunt double showing up in the background of Spider-Man 2 looking very out of place.
