Episode 10 - Running Jockey (Controlling Speed]
In today's video we go over how control the speed of the Running Jockey.
The Running Jockey is used by pressing (L2+R2) / [LT+RT], but to control the speed we use the left analogue stick. Depending on the amount of pressure we apply to the left analogue stick we can control the speed of the running jockey, to make it like a normal jockey whenever we want to. This gives us full control of defending scenarios able to also move acutely, but more importantly able to react if an opponent does a skill move or some boost of that nature, whereas the normal jockey would compromise your defence as you would then have to change into the running jockey to react. This is why you don't need to use contain, the normal jockey, or any other form of defensive movement when can fully control the situation with the running jockey.
The most important thing to is that the Assisted Jockeying is also on, this means that the game slows us down automatically when we are near the opponent, now you can turn this off for full control, however its not viable and leaving it on, including for myself, will bail you out defensively even if you do make a mistake as AI will be there for you to react. In this video we go over how to use the left analogue stick including the movement to control speed and efficient point to hold the running jockey.
