2023-01-28 17:11:32 +0000 UTCThis movie got me thinking…… Vampires seem to be rich. Why not just create a blood donor company. For a cheaper version, you can order blood from a blood bank. Or if you have a little more money, you can order a couple of people and drain them enough to feel woozy, then give a cookie, some juice, a couple thousand, and send them on their way. Wouldn’t people, especially homeless people down on their luck be banging down vampire doors to try to make some money? Just seems like nobody has to die,and there would be more desperate people trying to sell blood than vampires needing it. That actually gives me an idea on some evil vampires decide to crash the city economy forcing people to lose their jobs and becoming desperate. But the vampires would get caught and go to minimum security prison. A little overkill for Blade to start wasting a bunch of rich vampires for creating a recession.

Works much better in the theatrical one where it's revealed the body is actually Drake and his "Parting gift" was pretending to be Blade so he could slip away when the police arrived. That ending was just odd, especially cutting out part of Ryan Reynolds narration and just jumping into it halfway through.

2023-01-27 23:45:07 +0000 UTCThe story goes that Wesley Snipes was really unhappy with how much the movie focused on Ryan Reynolds and that a lot of his scenes were achieved with body doubles because he wouldn’t leave his trailer. As for the CGeyes he refused to open them so, like you said, they did it in post and used a body double for the rest.
