In today's video we go over how to do the first time fake shot, including timings, when to register the first time fake shot and training methods.

[Practice Arena: Skill Games > Ground Pass > Beginner (Pass to Goal)]
Training Timestamp:
1. Make the pass with the initial player
2. As red marker changes to striker or player receiver (means you are locked in)
3. Decide which way you want to exit and Hold the LEFT ANALOGUE stick into that direction
4. While HOLDING the LEFT ANALOGUE STICK, Press the "FAKE SHOT" command
5. Continue HOLDING the LEFT ANALOGUE STICK in the desired direction to exit
6. Once the animation of the ball receiver does the fake shot, then you can shoot/move

Hey Neal, I’ve tried to do it with Square + X and it ends up lobbing it to the sidelines lol. Is it because instead it should be O + X as soon as you pass the ball, or is it a practice thing? Thanks for the vids!
2020-12-24 06:51:38 +0000 UTCI absolutely have the same problem. In FIFA20 the first time fake shot was OK for me, but in FIFA21 I always bump into the CB. They are always standig so so close to my strikers almost if they wanted to tie a knot into my laces *gg*
2020-11-30 18:07:19 +0000 UTCI think its mainly to do with the timing, keep practicing it, you are probably not exiting at a 45 degree angle and therefore you are aiming into the player, the key is timing and planing it before and holding the left analogue stick to choose the direction way earlier, I would say from now on keep going away from goal just to get used to it then start influencing your actions depending on your opponents defender
