Hey guys,

As you guys know weekend league is coming out very soon, I have been testing some tactics in terms of pressing. As you may or may not know, they have changed team press this year and it is now in an egg-timer format. This means that once you activate it, it only occurs for a short period of time, and you have to keep turning on-and-off, if you are not used it, it can alter your game-play or make it more difficult.

This is the tactic which should be saved in your ultra attacking dynamic tactic, this is to be used if you are losing and need to come back, or you feel your opponent is holding the ball too much and you need to get the ball gap. Now it wont have the sudden impact of using the d-pad tactics as that is almost "instant", when you change dynamic tactics, it normally takes some period of time to change or as soon as the ball goes out of play/bounds then the formation changes. It may be worth having this formation as you will be wide defensively, so this way you will be wide if your opponent has the ball so you cover more of the pitch. Its important to keep the players on come back on defence, this may sound counter productive, but you need it as some players will hold the ball between the lines of your attacking players on stay forward and your defensive players.
A video will be released using these tactics Soon.

I will try Neal

I would really say try to use gold players, I think esp this year, stats really do pave a way the players really perform even if you have a high skill level, I would suggest maybe moving towards them and maybe keeping the silvers for a fun team

Neal

Hey listen to this I have been using a silver Brazilian team I have been doing for 4 years and I can try gold players and so on but I only ever played well with silver! Now that's really odd but great! On paper some have aweful stats etc but I can play really well with them

This save my WL I started 0-3 and couldn’t move so I put this formation on and started winning. Pressure vs pressure

Hey Sascha behind the scenes I am currently working on a tactic, it's very very hard because there is no solution, many of the pros are also struggling - trying to find a formation that can out-manoeuvre a press as opposed to "stopping" it

Neal

PS: I'd be grateful if you also could let us know how you would respond if you are getting pressed like this. I find it hard, staying wide and avoiding tackles by my opponent if they are so heavily pressing.

Wow Neal, this is one masterpiece! I have never ever been able to pressure my opponents so badly. It is not magical, I still have to do my job to score goals but this is some nice tactic.

In attacking formations, sometimes you may over press esp with constant pressure, so it may be worth leaving it on default esp if your winger & lb has gone up, at least you have that CDM defensive cover worst case as most people are playing 3 wide stay forward, if you dont you could be in trouble. if you do prefer you can put One of them to Stay central, the one on stay back anyway if you want to solidify the centre for sure.

Neal

CDMs no cover center?

makes perfect sense, cheers. good luck with WL

Come Back on defence, Apologies it was a typo fixed now! Thank you for that, and yes I changed in the end because when I testing it, many top tier players was playing behind the "strikers" so it means that you had to either manually push your CM out, or bring your striker out, and it was not worth the loss, because they will bait you to switch, so its better to be in front to press as opposed to behind the opponent

Neal

ST is it Stay Forward or Comeback? cheers
