I thought the de-aging looked quite impressive; however, we still have yet to see the younger Indy talk. I think that will be the big thing that sells the illusion. I hope that they modify Harrison Ford's voice to sound younger rather than using the AI speech technology that they used for Luke Skywalker. While it worked to an extent, it still has not been perfected yet.

Very excited for this movie. I'm with you Holden, while I don't think the last movie was good by any means. It also wasn't the shit storm people act like it was.

Yeah I didn't see any issue with the CGI especially with the de-aging shots.

Agreed, that's kind of where I'm at now too.

With this being my most anticipated movie to see next year, I may be a little biased, but I thought the CGI looked pretty good (aside from a few shots here and there). If it alleviates your guys' fears, James Mangold has said that he prioritized practical effects over CGI anywhere that he could. He even turned down using the Volume technology that most Lucasfilm projects use nowadays. I think that by the time the film comes out, the CGI will look a lot better. Regardless, with Mangold's film reputation, I think that we will get a very satisfying finale to the Indiana Jones character.

I know it’s labeled a trailer, but at 1:44 (and it being the first released footage) it’s really more of a teaser. Teasers normally only give a little taste to wet your lips without giving any info about the plot. See, for just one of many examples, the 1:39 Force Awakens teaser on Black Friday 2014.
The movie doesn’t come out until June, expect a full trailer that gives an idea of the plot as we get closer.
